It was bad in a different way. The prequels were a hot mess of incoherent autism, but at least they were an honest failure, a genuine attempt to make good movies. This was just a by-the-numbers studio flick, written by focus groups and executive committees, a calculated corporate cashgrab. It was far better than the prequels in its execution, but simultaneously worse due to its complete lack of soul.
