Isn't it all or at least much of it just music from the games? You can tell the people behind it really loved the games in the way they would recreate camera angles from it etc. Unlike the Resident Evil movies where it's all about turning all the series characters into fodder for the director to show off his wife.

The only thing that bothers me about the Silent Hill movie is how they kept referring to Harry's concern for his daughter in the game as a feminine quality so therefore in the movie it should be changed to a woman. Get. Fucked.
