Is he the Hitchcock of our time?
Did hitchcock rip off earlier filmmakers?

yes

Yes and no. Hitchcock made better movies but I think it will be inevitable for Tarantino to go through the same process of analysis. As opposed to analyzing Hitchcock through feminism and the gaze, Tarantino will be analyzed through post-colonialism, ethnic studies and the myth.

like who
Fincher seems closer to Hitch, at least to me.
Tarantino is an anomaly. He's like Jack Hill in an alternate universe where Jack Hill made mainstream movies.
This is a weird comparison.
Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and Jackie Brown are literally his only good movies.
>>68106580
No. He has an Oscar
>>68106856
Yes, all the movies you cited are good movies except Pulp fiction and jackie brown.

I'll never understand why /tv/ thinks Reservoir Dogs is Tarantino's best.
Then again, my favorite of his is Death Proof.
Is this /tv/ or did this turn into /kino/ all of a suddaaaaa-
He's the Ed Wood of our time.
Yeah, they're both hacks but talented hacks.
>>68106580
They're both hacks
But at least Hitchcock had some originality

it's the coolest
>when people tell me pulp fiction was better than reservoir dogs
>when edgy kids on 4chan think they're neato for saying they don't like pulp fiction
Literally never met anyone in real life who didn't like pulp fiction. I don't think its the amazing movie plebs make it out to be, but seriously quit being niggers and justturn off your brain bro
