ITT: "Actors" who basically only play themselves, but come across well on screen.
how would you even know what he's like when he's not acting

I listened to all of the BrBa podcasts. He was a frequent guest star, very relaxed atmosphere.
He's a nice guy but he really is Jesse.

Because he's generally well liked, if only a mediocre actor, and no one has picked up anon's screenplay and casted him as the lead role yet.
>>68101951
Andy or whatever the character's name is in Extras is literally just Gervais. Brent isn't really anything like him though.

>Pearson was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of two incarcerated drug addicts, and was raised in an East Baltimore foster home. Born a premature crack baby and weighing only three pounds, she was not expected to live. She was so small that she was fed with an eyedropper until she could be fed normally. According to her memoir, Grace After Midnight, she met her biological parents very few times; her mother was a crack addict and her father was a stick up man. She thus decided to go by her foster family's surname. She was a tomboy from a young age.
>Pearson worked as a drug dealer. At the age of 14, she was convicted of second degree murder after the shooting of a girl named Okia Toomer, and was sentenced to two eight-year terms, to be served consecutively, at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, Maryland. She was released after six and a half years.
>Pearson said her life turned around at the age of 18 when Arnold Loney, a local drug dealer who looked out for her and sent her money in prison, was shot and killed. He was the one who gave her the nickname Snoop because she reminded him of Charlie Brown's beagle Snoopy in the comic strip Peanuts. While in prison, she earned her GED and was released in 2000.
>She landed a local job fabricating car bumpers, but was fired after only two weeks when her employer learned she had a prison record.

>if only a mediocre actor
I actually disagree. His portrayal of Jesse may have been a bit over the top but it was a genuinely decent performance. He was overshadowed by Cranston obviously, but I still think he's great.

And that's why you don't adopt nigger babies. Their failure is genetic.

I just mean it in terms of the thread - he probably doesn't have a wide skillset for acting - he plays himself. I would agree he worked very well in breaking bad, and I don't even think it was that over the top, I've met tweakers and degenerates much more cliche than those portrayed on that show.
He turns himself into every character he's playing, so in essence, he's playing himself in every role.
>>68102305
Brent is basically just Ricky but with zero self awareness and less intelligence
Andy is Ricky but much more humble, considerate and an all around better person.
chris pratt, obviously

This is an odd case because although he basically plays himself, he is AMAZING at writing for himself and knowing how the audience will see him.
He might be the most self-aware dickhead of all time.

there's lots of factors that affect how a person turns out. statistically, parenting has more of an impact than race, it just so happens that a lot of black people come from broken homes where the parenting is pretty shitty.

Come on dude. If he really didn't use steroids, he's an idiot for never trying to prove it. Because everyone basically assumes he did.
