ITT : Our biggest hype/disappointment
I think seeing Joss Whedon posting all that bullshit on Twitter about Jurrasic World being sexist or whatever really tainted my enjoyment of this film.
>>68073266
i was so hyped you wouldnt believe when they posted setpics of the 3 camo tumblers with bane and the first shot of his back.
back then i thought this will be the greatest movie of all time. the bergman of capekino. the pinacle of taste capeshit and nolanesque semi-seriousness.
i remember the shaky cam of the planeheist sneak peak that was only shown in selceted cinemas.
and look what it is today...

>and look what it is today...
>...
Someone get this hothead outta here.
>>68073770
exactly...
Admit it. You thought a Carnage movie would come out soon after, and you were hype.
Oh you were so hype.
>>68073266
The Hobbit definitely, the precuels of our generation, no doubt.
>>68073414
this far more than Age of Ultron. The Dark Knight was a great movie. Avengers was kinda meh.
mine is Prometheus. the trailers were amazing and then we got a Lindeloffed fuckterpiece. he really does dumb down everything he writes.
>>68073851
This.
>>68073414
It has transcended reality
>>68073851
>precuels
>>68073851
Fucking this, that Smaug teaser was great : https://youtu.be/-XNun41aka0
>>68074143
fug, you know what I meant
>Our biggest disappointment
my life
The line it is drawn and the curse it is cast...
>>68073392
Not me. I knew Joss's work from Buffy/Angel and Alien. I knew he'd produce a turd once they gave him more free reign.
>>68074314
Yeah, but Civil War is actually good. I don't see why there would be a line.
>>68073266
>Batman v Superman
not even memeing
>>68074391
You've seen Civil War?
>>68073414
I dont know, man
Thos scenes on the plane really impressed me
>>68073266
>being hyped for/disappointed by capeshit
>>68074434
No, but I've seen all the other Marvel films, and theyr'e all solid. Plus, the twitter reviews are all saying it's good. I think it's a safe assumption.
>>68074262
If the movie adaption of that shit is bad i might just drop hollywood in general
>>68074435
youre and easy to impress guy.
>>68073266
>Thor's right arm and head/neck placement
>>68074486
Yeah, valid point. People have already made up their minds, seeing the actual movie is irrelevant.
>>68074391
Hyped Marvel sequels to a good or decent movie are trash.
>Spiderman 2 - Spiderman 3
>Ironman - IronMan 2 and 3
>Avengers - Avengers 2
>Winter Soldier - Civil War
The funny thing is that Favreau was supposed to direct Avengers but he left after IM 2. Whedon was supposed to direct Infinity War but he left after Avengers 2.
Now the Russos are going to direct Infinity War and the rest will be story.
>>68074486
Age of Ultron is anything but solid.
I think CA:CW will be better, but it's hardly etched in stone after that turd. If Marvel can keep it focused on the story instead of setting up 15 other movies, it'll be fine.
>>68074490
Don't worry. It's going to be fun.
>>68073414
I agree, the only people that like it are the virgin numale manlets who are overly obsessed with a 5 second scene and post their cancer all over this board.
>inb4 hothead
Literally go back to your circlejerk site faggots
>dragons fighting apaches
I know it's just a poster, but still.
>>68073266
I was disappointed at first, but AoU gets better with every rewatch desu senpai
>>68074600
I'm friends with Kevin Peterka irl
>>68073266
Transformers ROTF
Spider-Man 3
Iron Man 2
Man Of Steel
>>68073266
>3 quiksilvers
What did they mean by this?
>>68073266
disappointments are entirely a fault on the spectator's side. Learn to your manage your expectations, kid
true story: i HATED 2001 when i was 12, cause i expected it to be somewhat like Aliens, which i loved. nowadays both are amongst my favorites.
>>68074600
i was a kid when i watched that movie but i actually liked it a lot
doubt i'll ever watch it again though because people keep saying it's shit and i don't want to ruin my memories of it
>>68074600
That skydive scene was remarkable though
>>68073414
Remember Bane's voice being different in that place scene leak? Sounded better imo. He emphasized "of course!" completely differently.
>>68073266
life
>>68074859
Why ROTF? The Dark Of The Moon super bowl trailer was the hypest thing i ever saw
>>68074859
> not learning the Transformers lesson
> my sides have transformed into a boombox on the ISS
Nothing else even comes close, and for me nothing probably ever will.
The biggest cinematic disappointment of my life.
>>68075042
Why hasn't Bay done Unicron yet?
>>68075367
To be honest, I hate the Bay movies, but I would probably kill for a massively overproduced superexplosive Unicron epic.

This forever and ever.
>>68075469
Yup, me too.
loved prometheus
loved MoS
liked ironman 2 better than 1
would i love or hate age of ultron?
>>68075607
Well, your taste is garbage, so I think you've got a good shot.
I was going to say Star Trek Into Darkness, but this triple shot of disappointment might take the cake.
>>68074600
>apaches
>in england
>>68075607
If you go in knowing he wont ever become intimidating like pic related you should like it. The biggest problem with the movie is how lackluster he was compared to his comic self, as was Venom in SP3
>>68075752
Different Character =/= Bad character
>>68075752
For me, taking Ultron away from Hank Pym took away the weight of the character (both character's really), which was pretty much confirmed for me when I saw his wisecracking performance.
>>68075733
>dragons
>in england
>>68074905
It's to show his movement. Bro, do you even sequential art?
>>68075906
Those look like wyverns 2bh
>>68075855
Blame Edgar Wright for that one, if he hadn't been such a lazy ass fucker Ant-Man would have come out and actually been in the team-up in Avengers. He wouldn't compromised with the project and ended up wasting so much of Marvel/Disney's time.
As for Age of Ultron in general. Joss Whedon went full quip with it, he tried to sell it as serious darker tone with what seem to be real stakes that would put the Avengers to the test but it ended up being lackluster as hell. Ultron just wasn't threatening at all. Also, Whedon's idea of drama involves killing a character to make it "serious" which didn't help at all since he killed off someone who was just introduce. I'll never forgive the asshole for having killed off Slavsilver.
>>68074502
F-for you
>>68073266
TONY, HELP
The best way to live life is to assume everything is going to go wrong and completely suck, so on the chance it doesn't you'll be pleasantly suprised. Literally just hope for the best but expect the worst. More often you'll wind up in the middle, sometimes it'll be the worst, and once in a blue moon it may be the best.
>>68073266
IM2, IM3, Ultron
All because of Tony Stark reasons. Robert should ideally sit out for a couple of movies but he's nearing 60 so he needs to get his time in before he's simply too old.
>>68073266
why the fuck don't they adapt an actually interesting fucking marvel story like Planet Hulk or something
fuck's sake
Watchmen
Was hype as fuck because I loved the comic and everything from the set reports sounded like it was going to be a legit good adaptation. The movie did a lot of things right, and there are moments when it's great, but overall it feels like a wasted opportunity.
