Netflix will eventually have commercials, it's a given.
commercials are comfy
>>67995049
This. I see it happening within 5 years or less
>>67995049

Also this to an extent. I honestly find ads on youtube more annoying since they're more meta.

Give up

She's so hot. I wonder how her bf reacted to finding out she was on a show about a blind guy.
>>67995054
This. I was staying in a hotel a few months back and was channel surfing. Commercials are honestly GOAT for background noise.
Netflix is total garbage. Only 4% better than fucking cable. dumbass
>2016
>watching television shows

>>67995270
Yes, I don't use adblock. I get shit for it, and I'll probably get shit for it here. I don't use adblock because it feels bad, it feels like I'm taking someone's money and they're not getting money...meh, y'know.
>>67994912
>exclusively consuming media through Netflix
Spotted the pleb
>paying a monthly fee to watch a limited selection of mostly bad/medocre/normie films and shows, And lots of capeshit

lol

>not pirating everything you want to watch
>>67995490
everything outside The Sopranos and 2-3 other shows is absolute trash. a bigger waste of time and less entertaining than 4chan even
>>67995490
TV is purely (mediocre) entertainment, there is no artistic value in them at all
>paying for parks and rec: the subscription
>>67995456
man yeah, I wouldn't want youtubers to not get paid $0.001.
Do you remember how much better Youtube was 7-10 years ago when people were making content they thought was cool instead of bullshit clickbait with goofy images and wacky personalities and reposts of other people's content in video recorded form by teenagers?
Fuck that shit, if you can't make money from your website without relying on an intrusive form of money making that can give me malware and I can easily legally circumvent, sucks to be you, you should've thought of a better idea for monetisation.
>>67995562
>that pic
Christ, did you come out of 2002 or what?
>>67995490
>>golden age of television
"the golden age" is over nigger, it started with the sopranos and ended with mad men
we silver age at best now
>>67995615
That's the joke
>>67995615
get out of here you fucking faggot
>>67995638
lmao the golden age of television started with Andy Griffith and ended when Gunsmoke switched to color from b/w
>>67995609
Everything gets monetized. Everything. The internet isn't a place just for information or for fun wacky things anymore, it's just monetization now since companies started seeing it as an outlet. It kinda hurts 2bh. I remember when the internet was more pure. At least it's a bit more exciting now, instead of like just ten people being in one particular place at a time.
>>67995503
let them pay for netflix
without normies paying for content there will be no content to pirate
>>67995054
>>67995365
How good of a goy can you fucking get?
>OH HI THERE CONSUMER

Arrested Development, Better Call Saul, Black Sails if you're into that, Game of Thrones if you're into that (last season was mediocre but there is some good content), Community season 1-2, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation seasons 2-4, Dexter seasons 1/2/4, Flashforward, Party Down, Silicon Valley (somewhat), South Park (various seasons, last season had a bump back up in quality).
Like all of this shit is better than whatever 90 minute capeshit is at the cinema, I dunno what the fuck you're watching but films are inherently flawed by the length of time they try to make you care about some characters, feel compelled by their motivations, be caught off guard by any kinds of twists or suspense and then wrap up everything in a neat little package without you feeling it was too short.
Or they just Peter Jackson it and make it last fucking 3 and a half hours of pure sitting there watching small people run through a field.
Fuck films man, I like something I can eat with a meal and get to know the characters in over the course of years, and rewatch with my girlfriend. Films are a cute thing for long haul flights.
>>67995456
People only get money when you CLICK the ads, they don't get shit for you just seeing them. Unless you're actually clicking those ads, it's functionally equivalent to ad-block. Just with ad-block you're not wasting your own time on things you know you won't click anyway.
>>67994912
Torrents don't have commercials, dipshit. Unless it's a torrent of nothing but commercials, then they do have commercials tbqfwyf
>not having your parents pay for everything
>>67995850
Party Down is the only good show you listed
>>67995638
Implying Mad Men isn't the most mundane shit ever. Mad Men is just a show where you can admire a good wardrobe department, it has almost no plot, plebian tier television.
>>67995748
Yes but I don't mind monetisation that isn't retarded. I'd be happy to use Netflix/Amazon Prime etc.
If a few interesting news sites aggregated together with a worthwhile subscription model, if youtube had some kind of subscription service that offered me something I can't already get, I would be interested in that shit.
I'm not interested in turning off ublock.
>>67995880
This nigga knows what's up
>>67995914
sorry, i should've have said it ended with breaking bad.
maybe that's more your speed
>>67995871
My torrent of Agents of SHIELD from the other night got jacked up with a mid-episode "urgent" election update. Cut out like 2 fucking minutes just so they could tell me to come back at 11 because they didn't have the outcome yet.
>>67995904
Just because you already watched Arrested Development season 1-3 so many times it's hard to find it quite as funny anymore doesn't mean it isn't funny. Party Down is literally the show you find when you've already watched all of the more critically acclaimed comedies in the same vain.
And really, like, you can't be fucking serious if you like Party Down but not Arrested Development, it's literally the same style humour but written by geniuses. No one cares that you're only into shows that 3 other people have seen.
Oh I also missed Battlestar Galactica.
>>67995880
>parents pay for Netflix
>parents have an Amazon Prime account and added me through their family share shit
>sister has Hulu Plus that I use
>>67996085
I watched like half the first season of AD and I thought it was lame. I like Party Down much better. The only other modern show I like is Curb.
>>67995982
I'm the same anon who made that other list of shows. Notice I listed Better Call Saul. Notice I didn't list Breaking Bad.
At the same time though, Breaking Bad had its moments, the first episode on its own was pretty great, there were some well written scenes. There's like 2 seasons where I can't really tell you what happened though.
Either way, Black Sails seasons 2-3, Better Call Saul, Mr. Robot (which isn't even good) are all better than Mad Men and recent.
>>67996090
Yeah I have access to all this shit but I find it easier to just type "[show name] s03e08 vodlocker" and click the first link unless I'm marathoning something and I already know it's on Netflix, a lot of the time with those shit I have to proxy into the right zone or whatever.
I watch vikings on amazon prime just because it's marginally better quality.
Kodi and Stream all the source app is my jam
