Trailer was pretty boring, but cast, director, and premise are all way stronger than 7 so I have hope.
I was hyped for EP7 but now looking back I have nothing but bitter taste left in my mouth similar to the one I had after the 1st hobbit, wasn't all bad, but rehashing story, mary suing (and it's not like I came to this conclusion after Max Landis' rant on twitter, that's actually the very first thing I've told my gf after we left cinema on premiere's night), the GANJA CLUB scene was shit, Maz was shit character, Finn had such a potential as a character and instead got fucked over with incompetence and jokes build around his past while totally glossing over how he kills his old brothers etc.
I'm not really looking forward to new star wars film, especially now that I clearly see how they shoehorn in female leads and people of color for the sake of diversity
I never watched hobbit 2 or 3 as as the box office numbers were lower and lover for each of those, I can tell that I'm not alone
SW numbers will drop too hopefully, it shouldn't be something mass produced by committee, there needs to be heart

What we know about Rogue One feels like it was written to be the same type of story as the Empire Comics about Janek Sunber. It´s less about characters and more about action setpieces with giant used sci-fi armies. I hope they just vastly enlargened the girls role because of retarded executives not seeing the similarity between Rey and Jyn (I mean fuck, these name were obviously made up durng the same meeting).
I just want to go back to the old days. Some nice videogames and weekly army stories about Stormtroopers and officers be it comic, tv or movie.

This movie is the one I am most excited about over every other new-canon Star Wars film. Sure there have been comics and books portraying the timeframe between III-IV but it would be amazing to see it from someone who is probably a pure loner, and a Jedi at that. Think about it, we've seen the crew in Rebels but it would be fascinating to see it from the point of view of one of the best Jedi around. Forced to kill his best friend, probably gets to have some bro time with his old master, has to watch Yoda leave, never to see him again until he FUCKING DIES.
It just seems more of an intriguing story compared to all the other films. We've seen mass Jedi, we've seen rebellion points of view, we've seen some empire points of view, we'll see some smuggler/bounty hunter points of view, but to see all this from an outcast Jedi point of view? Sign me the fuck up.

Like this looks way more authentic than TFA, But it also looks really modernised and slick at the same time.
TFA was like typical flick scifi shit, plus JJs shitty effects. Rogue looks more fucking kino with all those shots, like something out of a kubrick film.
