I personally think Ronan in Guardians was a much better villain than Joker. At least he has a clear motivation, and the other characters have a palpable sense of fear about him. Joker just shows up for no reason and starts being generically evil. Honesty, if Ledger hadn't died, people wouldn't give nearly as big a shit about Joker.
