We'll probably see a couple experiments here and there. But a VR movie isn't easy to do at all. We're talking 720° degrees here for a frame. How do you even come up with a script that takes that into account and use it as an advantage? How do you shoot this without having the movie crew in your frame? How do you do first person pov storytelling in a successful manner?
Not to mention it will still take years before VR is adopted in a significant way. Right now the audience isn't there.
