>best Craig Bond
>everyone hates it
Why? It was the perfect send off to his era under the mantle.

Lad nothings been confirmed

>send off

Isn't he under contract for one more?
>>
casino royale was the only decent craig bond

just let the franchise die we've had 25 movies already
>>
he is old and never looked the part. layer cake was fun but making him bond was a mistake.
>>
>>67922166

Skyfall was also fantastic.
>>
>>67922183
>James Bond Home Alone

No
>>
>>67922116
it was awful and i try my best to forget it exists.
>>
>>67922194

>James Bond plays cards

No.
>>
>>67922116
I liked it too
>>
>>67922116
>excellent opening act
>the rest of the movie is pure garbage

only 1/3 of the movie is good, they had no idea what the fuck they were doing after that
>>
>Jamesy get captured by people who crash into his car
>The let hm out
>He kills them
>The whole plot inside the building seems based upon james not being captured

This really bothered me
>>
>>67922302
>james bond gets tortured by based Mads while naked
YES
>>67922341
so...like skyfall?
>>
Because it's the wrong sort of Bond movie for Craig, that's the fundamental problem.

Spectre at its core is a Brosnan Bond movie. It's slightly campy, a little silly, it treats on serious issues but does so with such a goofiness and airheadedness that it feels surreal. It has gadgets and bimbo girls and henchmen and minibosses and a secret lair in the desert.

The trouble is that it doesn't star Brosnan, it stars Craig, and Craig cannot do camp. Every time the movie absolutely needed a raised eyebrow or a sly smirk or a witty comment, Craig just grunted or stood there like a moron. Craig lacks the charm and motionless charisma to pull off a campy Bond movie.

I really think if we'd had Brosnan or Moore or even Connery in Spectre it would have been pretty good. With Craig, it's one of the worst Bonds ever.

Think

>>67922469

Like protecting his boss?
>>
>>67922495
I'm not that guy
>>
The bond girl wasn't that hot desu senpai and she seemed to whine alot more than any of the others
>>
>>67922539
It always the blondes that were the whiners only good blonde Bond girl post Connery that wasn't a bad guy was kara
>>
I find it funny that 2 of the 6 big budget spy blockbuster movies of 2015 had the same general plot.

What was written first? MI5 or spectre? I know which was filmed first. Was this coincidence or could it have been on purpose?
>>
The movie took bits and pieces from older movies (even Skyfall) and then did nothing interesting with them. It's like >>67922402 said, with a different director and Craig emoting some kind of human reaction, it might have been fun. It was miserable
>>
>>67922302
>it's another the villain is supposed to be postmodern but is actually just kind of homosexual episode
When, exactly, will this die?
>>
>>67922136
Distribution rights are in a stalemate. Three or four years might pass until the next film and Craig isn't getting any younger.
>>
>>67922495
>being in England
Fucking NO

Even forgetting that foolishness, Q is a meme. Money penny is a meme. Javier bardem barely kills any innocent people. His plan is also outrageously (even for hollywood) well executed: >well-time train through ceiling.
>>
>>67922116
It was the culmination in a misguided attempt to "correct" what the studio thought was a mistake in rebooting the franchise.

>"Hey! Brosnan's getting old and fat, lets put new, younger Bond on screen and do his origin story! It worked for Batman!"
>"Yeah, but we need some form of continuity. Keep Dench as M and call Martin Campbell"
>Based CR
>"Well, that kinda left a bit of a cliffhanger. Let's see what happens to Bond immediately after losing the only woman he's ever loved"
>"Yes, it'll be a fantastic character study."
>2008 writer's strike
>Editor chops up an otherwise still good movie
>"We fucked up. We fucked up bad!"
>"Yeah, nobody wants to see a modern bond! They just want Q branch, the DB5 and a stuffy old Man as head of MI6. They want a British film made by a solid Britsh director"
>Skyfall
>"Well, Dench is gone and now we've got the Bond supporting cast lineup of M, Moneypenny and Q!"
>"What do we do now!"
>"Oh, let's bring back SPECTRE. Isn't that what we were gonna do with Quantum?"
>"Should we bring back blofeld as well?"
>"Yes! But totally deny it until the movie comes out. It worked FOR YOU."
>Writers throw material from octopussy and OHMSS into microwave and serve it up as something new
>Sony Hacks
>"Fuck!"
>"Daniel Craig as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007 in SPECTKEK"
>James Cuck rides off into the sunset in the DB5 with his new steady girlfriend, swearing off his life of hedonism, killing and espionage."

Literally the least Bondian film in terms of writing.
Shot beautifully, hits all the conventional bond prerequisites, but then turns to shit at the halfway point.
It makes me glad I'm not british.
>>
it was fucking shit and I never disliked a Bond movie so much before

they were trying to re-implement the formula, but it was done so miserably and paint-by-numbers that I could practically see the boardroom meetings behind every recycled plot point

also
>brain drilling without any consequences

I got bored and stopped watching it.

This movie was a real snooze.
>>
>>67922978
octopussy had 1000% more innuendos.
>>
it was ridiculous how stupid everything was. He should have died like 6 times, he somehow blew up an entire compound with one bullet and like 30 guards surrounding him with submachine guns. The fucking plane scene blew my mind, there's nothing believable about anything that happened in this movie, I was pretty shocked by how bad it was.
>>
>>67922116
the plot was ludicrous, the dialogue was shit, craig himself was sleepwalking through the whole thing because he's obviously bored to fucking tears with the character
>>
>>67922116
well it's better than skyfall, that's for sure
