It would be surprising. And I want to believe it will be good because I am a warcraft fan. Only with a strong word of mouth à la Avatar could this ever happen. Unlikely though imo.
If it does more than 400 $millions it will already be a solid financial success given the 100$ millions budget.
If it does more than 800$ millions? Everyone in Hollywood will take note and accelerate the vidyashit productions. EA Valve and co will enter the fray sooner than expected. Rights will get bought left and right at a faster pace.
It will be interesting to observe the box office performance regardless where you stand about this movie.
