Besides the great action sequences, the Revenge element of Wick was done extemely well.
Until I saw Wick, I had NEVER given a shit about watching the assholes pay. Most of the time the revenge is too typical to really hook me in. Yeah, they killed a guys wife, or kids, or got him framed, or took the money they stole
In Wick, though, god fucking damn I wanted to see him make those Russian twats SUFFER.
I was genuinely mad he didn't draw out the main kid's death. I would have tortured him as long as I could keep him alive, using all of those awful Japanese science experiences on torture and keeping the brain active .
I would have made him beg, beg, beg and then acted like I was going to put him out of his misery, but then laugh and sit back down. Or bring people over and make him watch us having fun, while he is strapped in and gagged behind a mirror. Or I'd get a bunch of puppies, similar to the one he took from me, and slowly feed him to them. (Tiny pieces mixed in with ham and dog food or whatever)

Because whilst John Wick is a good flick with some of the best gunplay action scenes in a while, thats all it is.
In every scene it felt as if the plot purely existed to serve the action scenes. Example, the nightclub sequence, yes it is well directed action and high octane gunplay, however its disconnected with the narrative thrust of the film. Meaning that he just shows up, oh I guess the baddies there, then the setting isnt a progression of setting, but instead a bland stage swapped out to fit the action set pieces. Theres a whole lot more to write, but I hope you get the gist friend.
Again, I dont dislike the film, but it just feels bland and even lacks tension in the 3rd act
