Which movie was it /tv/?
>>
>>67904036
never because walking out on movies is for faggot hipsters
>>
I've never done it. If I have paid for something, I might as well watch all of it, even if its shit. Even then, i'm pretty good at telling what films i'll like beforehand, so i've only gone to the cinema once and disliked a film.
>>
I walked out of Across the Universe (dumped a girl at the beginning of the date). She kept crying so I left.

I thought my dad was going to walk out of Kill Bill Vol. 1 (doesn't like violent movies at all), but for whatever reason he loved it.
>>
I almost walked out of Tron Legacy after the projector went to shit and they told everyone it would be fixed in a few minutes. It turned into a full 30 min delay and I was about to leave, but I really wanted to see it. Good decision because after everything was said and done, 3/4 of the theater had left and it was maximum comfy
>>
titanic because for some reason all they had received was a german dubbed version.

mfw some people actually stayed
>>
Last week I walked out of Batman v Superman.

By the way OP, "walking out of the theater" is just /tv/ code for "closing the media player"

Ex Machina because it was boring and awful.
>>
I don't spend money on bad movies.
>>
>>67904089

I never walk out because I dislike a film but if the audience is full of human garbage who shout jokes, run around, have noisy foreplay etc. etc. I leave
>>

Superbad.
>A bunch of friends wanted to go
>I got there first
>call friends
>asked to hold some seats
>get to drawn dicks and mclovin when I finally get a text
>"they won't let us in"
>fucking theater wont sell tickets to some girl in the group because 16
>leave movie go hang with friends

And I have never seen superbad all the way to this day.
>>
I almost walked out of minions
Before that, I think Wedding Crashers. Other than that no, I'm not autistic so I can endure a film no matter how terrible it is

i saw people walking out of bvs kek
>>
>>67904089
You can get your money back, stupid
>>
Also 30 minutes or less when i went with a group of friends because it had steamy sex in it even if it was for like 2 minutes
>>
My mom dragged me to Death Becomes Her. Had us walk out when the one chick shot the other one and complained it wasn't a suitable movie for a kid. Was dozing off during the whole thing.
>>
>>67904288

not in europe. the refund thing for movies is entirely american.
>>
I love watching movies on the big screen but i hate the people there. FUCK i hate people at the movie theater. There's always the one talking retard next to me.
>>

Walked out of Across the Universe too because it was boring as shit and near the end lost all coherency. I probably left 15-20mins before the end, I just couldn't take another minute.
Would not have went if it weren't for a film student buddy of mine needing to see it for some school project, but didn't want to go alone.

Went to an international film festival. There was this movie called something like monuments. It was free so I just went in.

The film literally consisted (and I literally mean literally here) of one-camera shots of monuments. These shots lasted something like 7 or 8 minutes with the camera just standing.

I lasted 3 monuments.
>>
>>67904036
2015, Age of Ultron. About midway through, Ultron makes a joke about omelets and I decided I'd had enough. If the movie can't take itself seriously, even in serious scenes, neither will I .

Festival movies are sometimes extremely hard to go through. I saw in a local one a student short film marathon, it was fucking bad.
>>
>>67904036

Starship Troopers.

Not because it was bad, but I saw it in theaters when I was 6 or 7 and when the brain bug sucked that pilot's brains out, I couldn't take it and had to get out of the theater so I could have a little cry. I came back in about 5-6 minutes later and finished it up.
>>
>>67904036
I walked out of the first Captain America. It gets to the point where he gets super powers, then the military still doesn't want him because they wanted to buy super soldiers in bulk, so instead he becomes a Broadway dancer. You know, like genetically enhanced super soldiers do. I went out for a cigarette during the dance routine and just decided it wasn't worth looking through my pockets to fund the ticket stub to get back in.
>>
The number 23.

>>
>>67904036
I walked out of Thor 2 when it became evident that the annoying girl from 2 Girls 1 Cup was going to continue talking. Also, the movie's antagonist was a space elf and red goo. Not gonna do it.
>>
The Conan remake.

It was sooooooooooo boring. So very boring. It's the first and only time I ever walked out on a movie, and I sat through those fucking Ice Age sequels.
>>
>>67904910
I didn't see Thor 2, but I walked out of the first Thor when he got to Earth and started smashing coffee cups. I figured it was going to be one of "those" movies, so I got a refund.

I walked out of Green Lantern. Not because the movie was bad (which I hear it was), but because halfway through the CGI intro that explains what Green Lanterns are, literally hundreds of elementary school age summer campers noisily began to file into the theater and proceeded to behave like noisy summer campers. I walked to the box office and the lady didn't even ask me what the problem was. She just says, "yeah, sorry about that. You can have your money back." As I walked back to my car, I see four school buses parked outside.

Thor was the first Marvel movies to make me hate all of them except that second Cap America one.
>>

I know, right? I remember going to movies in summer camp, but they would always rent the space out and usually just showed older flicks that had been out of theaters for a while. Taking a field trip to an actual movie during opening week is a major fucking dick move.

I had a friend that used to work at the bar in one of our local theaters, and ended up getting piss wasted for free before Man of Steel. I met a reasonably QT young lady at the bar seeing the same thing, and midway through the Krypton sequence we decided to go back to my place because the movie was boring us. I ended up getting a DUI on the way home and spending the night in the drunk tank. Later came to find that the reasonably QT young lady was not reasonably QT in my sober gaze (real white trash type. Possibly a Jaggalette). Then I went back the next day to watch Man of Steel, only to find out it was just awful. That was a really shitty weekend.
>>
The only times I've walked out were when I was with my dad and he demanded we leave. I don't care how bad the movie is, if I paid for it I'm going to see it

I'VE never walked out on a film

But I for some reason my dad took me to see Jackass 2 without knowing what it was. I knew.

He stuck around kind of wincing the whole time, then finally when the poop dropped into the miniature of the toilet, he threw his hands up and left. Kind of like Seinfeld in that dank ass fire ass gif.

It actually made the movie even funnier. He could handle people hitting eachother in the dick and throwing up every where. But the anticipation of a close up on a toilet, only to have an enormous monstrous dump disillusion you of what you're looking at, was the final straw. Dank.

Actually, I just remembered

I also walked out on Cop Out after about 20 minutes. I was with 6 people at the mall and we just decided to see a film. All of us agreed around the 15 minute mark that it was the most cringy and generic thing we've ever seen. And we were only 16 year old kids.

Who is the hack that made this garbage? Bruce Willis's credibility was already running very thin, but after that movie it was non existent for me. Only movie I've ever had to walk out on, and with 6 other people.

I went to one a few years ago and one film was literally like those parodies of student art films you see in movies/tv where its black and white with pointless imagery and awful violin sounds, except it was 100% unironic.

If you're talking about the dragons/wyverns dispute, the only significant difference is that wyverns have a poisoned stinger on their tail.

You want to steal one of our movie theaters? Fine. Take it. You go wrap yourself up in one of your cozy pizza casseroles and enjoy yourself a flick. That theater is clearly and verifiably located on the Upper West Side, but if you want to think it's somewhere off of your bizarre, nonsensical subway loop that's fine with us. Pacific Rim.

It was a few weeks into its run and I was a NEET at the time so I went to a day showing. It started at like 11am so the theatre was dead. There were like, 3 other people, other than myself, in there.

Two of them were a couple and I'm pretty sure she was giving him a blowjob and they left not even half way. Not sure what the other guy was doing but he was Asian and left soon after.

So here I am, alone in this theatre, half-way through this movie that isn't very interesting at all. The battles were slow and boring and the characters were so fucking annoying.

The only thing that kept me going was the Asian girl. I forget her name but she was fucking HOT in that bodysuit that she wears in the robot and sweating all over the dojo. Needless to say I felt emboldened and was not at all turned off when it flashed back to her being a child. Trying to stop me from fapping? Good luck movie!

I came, finished in a tissue I had brought just in case of a runny nose, stuffed it in a pocket and left three quarters of the way through. Flushed it in the toilet and went home.

I miss being a NEET.

I walk out of every movie I see ... eventually.

You're welcome.
>>
>>67908258
But what about the bloobs? Any movie that affords me the opportunity to stealthily jerk it to sweet furry porn in a packed auditorium full of families is alright in my book.

The last film I remember where I was bored out my mind and nearly walked out was the final Hobbit film.

Went to see Deadpool this past weekend. Was still playing in the theater near me.

Hoped it would be good from what I heard, but after 20 minutes, I could not take it and walked out. Thankfully I only lost 8$
>>
I would have if I saw Angels and Demons in theaters.

The movie was so ridiculous throughout but I shut it off at a certain scene I was unable to suspend my disbelief for.

Last time was Shutter Island. It was terrible. The green screen garbage all over looked like shit, it was predictable where it was going and it was late at night. We went and drank more instead.

I almost walked out of Batman v Superman about half way through. I had a free ticket, so there would have been no financial loss.
>>
>>67908869
I have no clue how that surprised you.
Did you miss all the threads saying "It's literally гeddit the movie" or "it's literally all sex jokes"?
These were actually threads by the way.

When superman died in BvS, I literally started hyperventilating and had to leave the theater. Had to go back to watch that movie a second time to see the ending.

I don't believe anyone left a movie midway unless they had proof they did.

All these stories in this thread are made up and only serve to entertain due to the ridiculousness of the stories.

>enter Birdman
>first scene is of a dude levitating in tighty whities
I knew that was a bad sign, and it just continued on its incoherent course from there

also, Boyhood once the step-father turned out to be a stereotypical drunk abusive asshole within the first 15 minutes, but I stayed the next 2 1/2 hours just so I couldn't be blamed for not having seen the whole thing before calling it shit

basically I stay well clear of the Oscar nominees and the hype machine that's driving Rotten Tomatoes now

I kinda sorta walked out on Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The movie's audio was fucked up and sounded like it was under water. I walked out, they apologized and offered me tickets to a showing in another theater in 20 minutes along with two complimentary passes for a future movie.

I really love the Regal Cinemas.

Pirates of the Caribbean 3. I think like an hour in. Maybe less. Literally the only thing I remember from that movie is Jack Sparrow hanging from a chandelier. And mermaids. I don't even know who the villain was.

The first Scary Movie when I was like 12. The sex stuff made me uncomfortable so I played arcade games by myself trying not to cry while I waited for everyone else.
I almost walked out of Final Destination 4 but didn't because I was "making an effort" not to be anti-social in a group setting

Funny, I heard Robert downy Jr. on a talk show promoting iron man 3 and clearly he was tired of these movies and thinks they're shit. The host asks him if it's honestly any good and he perks up and starts trying to sell it, unconvincingly. He finishes by saying that he has to believe it's good because if he doesn't take himself seriously, why should anyone else? I thought it was a nice pep talk for himself, too bad the movie itself undermines that very notion.

I'm not surprised.
He's said that Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes are what got him back on his feet after the drug issues, and those are the only series he's been able to land a role in. He can't say he's made a full comeback until he starts landing roles outside that sphere, but the contracts won't let him leave.

I must be an autist.
I literally cannot enjoy a movie unless I'm alone, in the dark and in silence so I can just purely focus on the movie.

Watching with my parents would ruin ANYTHING i watched.

Watching movies with my girlfriend just made me want to fuck her every time.

I walked out on the first Alice in wonderland with Johnny Depp after she fell down the rabbit hole 40 feet and got up completely fine. I didnt dig the feel of the movie and honestly like the cartoon one way, way more. It reminded me of what they tried to do with johnny depp with willy wonka and that was a shitfest as well
