I thought my dad was going to walk out of Kill Bill Vol. 1 (doesn't like violent movies at all), but for whatever reason he loved it.
I almost walked out of Tron Legacy after the projector went to shit and they told everyone it would be fixed in a few minutes. It turned into a full 30 min delay and I was about to leave, but I really wanted to see it. Good decision because after everything was said and done, 3/4 of the theater had left and it was maximum comfy

I had a friend that used to work at the bar in one of our local theaters, and ended up getting piss wasted for free before Man of Steel. I met a reasonably QT young lady at the bar seeing the same thing, and midway through the Krypton sequence we decided to go back to my place because the movie was boring us. I ended up getting a DUI on the way home and spending the night in the drunk tank. Later came to find that the reasonably QT young lady was not reasonably QT in my sober gaze (real white trash type. Possibly a Jaggalette). Then I went back the next day to watch Man of Steel, only to find out it was just awful. That was a really shitty weekend.
The only times I've walked out were when I was with my dad and he demanded we leave. I don't care how bad the movie is, if I paid for it I'm going to see it

It was a few weeks into its run and I was a NEET at the time so I went to a day showing. It started at like 11am so the theatre was dead. There were like, 3 other people, other than myself, in there.

Funny, I heard Robert downy Jr. on a talk show promoting iron man 3 and clearly he was tired of these movies and thinks they're shit. The host asks him if it's honestly any good and he perks up and starts trying to sell it, unconvincingly.
