The AI didn't become a Neonazi by the end of the movie.
It's obviously fake as fuck.
>>
I never understood the point of the movie.
>>
>>67882523
"It's ok to be a cuckold": the movie
>>
>>67883681
lol that's obviously not the point

if he were a cuck he wouldn't have been so upset by finding out she'd been cheating on him with 600 guys

>>67883647
on a really basic level it's about how incomprehensible other people really are, how you'll never actually understand anyone outside of yourself
>>
>>67883647
>>67885269
The point? It's a movie about a lonely guy who falls in love with an AI, and the obvious problems you would have when falling in love with an AI.

It made me fucking angry and the only movie that also made me mad was The Mystic River.

>they break up

>Getting cucked by a robot waifu

No wonder /tv/ likes it
>>
Stupidest fucking movie I've ever seen. The fact that there's people out there who are moved by it and can relate in some way just makes me hate modern society that much more.
>>
>>67882523
Good movie, saw it at a good time in my life to appreciate it. I always thought it was an interesting take on the future. Isn't it funny how the character that can express herself, communicate, and just act human the best is actually an AI. Says something about what we expect of other people, or about the modern society leading to isolation.
>>67885973
He is being an ass but to say that a movie has no meaning beyond the actual events is really a simplistic way to look at things. When watching something especially a second try asking why is this scene in the movie, what exactly are the characters and background doing, is there any obvious symbolism. Doing this shows that most movies make some attempt at having a theme a the least. Many have very obvious interpretations that can be made from observation and listening.
>>
>>67886216
Really is that hard to relate to the isolationism of modern society.
>>
>>67886228
The movie is simply exploring AI as a romantic companion. That's the meaning behind it, it's not a complicated piece of cinema. You can extrapolate anything your little heart desires, that's what art is for. The movie's "point" is to point out the highs and lows of digital waifu

Fell asleep somewhere during the second act, read about the ending on /tv/ later

This isn't a shitpost, I watch movies to go to sleep sometimes
>>
The ending was contrived nonsense that makes no sense at all. Was good up until the last 10-15% of the film.
>>
>>67882523
the escort scene was my favorite part of the movie and revealed the rest of the movie to me

normally, the way relationships function in the relationship between our own mind and the reality our psyches project and the actual other person who we interact with
in Her, that whole thing is reversed especially in the mentioned scene. instead of a projected view on the other person and their bodies, they have to bring in the surrogate. the experience is traumatic because it imposes the reality of his situation to directly. of course he has somewhat of a struggle with actually getting into the relationship with the ai, but that moment fully shows him that he doesn't really have certainty in this other who he assumes is just like him. it illustrates the extent to which maybe at least some of us interact with our own minds and don't really make the plunge into others.
i don't know what the final point of the movie is, but the way that in the end she just up and leaves is actually very comedic, it's like his imaginary friend up and left him because even in that imaginary space he knows he's not enough

i don't really know what i'm talking about

This is why you don't give your AI-Girlfriend internet access
>>
>>67886930
I wouldn't want to date any female with access to the internet. Just imagine what they might do.

Brilliant film. Nearly perfect in execution, but my only flaws are her having the intellect to pause and breathe like a human, but not to piece together that theo might be pissed she's cheating.

Yeah, she said she "cant stop it", but this is all poorly explained, as is their quantum leap into some other higher being? How does that even work gifen that theyre still computers? Just unplug that shit. One day it'll run out of battery. Why does it play some kind of god status card?

I would have rather they would focus on the point that they all chose to communicate amobgst soley each other to save the humans from being antisocial destructive degenrates.

Composition and color palette was exquisite. Pacing was great, engaging, leaisurely but not slow. I like how the female was okay with him looking up her info beford the date. It's sma things that give us a look into the future that this film does well. Sci fi elements were believable and smart.

A minor gripe would be that maybe samantha could at least pretend to not want to immediately suck his dick outta the box.

9/10 all things considered. Really heartfelt

This tbqh. You're busting your ass at work, meanwhile your girl's posting headless nudes on Reddit and getting off to the seas of worship. And you'll likely never know.
>>
the movie is too long for it's own good. I was already bored after an hour of watching but kept doing it anyway for the sake of it.

dude's reaction in the end was irrational, no reason to get so worked up about a program or even another person.

I watched it for the sci fi element but it was used as a diversion. their real, intended audience consists of whiny betas.
