Leaked Star Wars Episode VIII climax scene:
Rey and Luke are going through a giant complex of tunnels and rooms of a sewer which is below a fantastical frozen wasteland of a city. They are searching for or meeting some of Luke's hidden former students. They come to a wide open room which seems to have been made into a large living area. They find all the former students dead and are confronted by the Knights of Ren. Luke tells Rey to run as fast as she can, but she insists on fighting (she has become over confident in her powers, which Luke constantly nagged on her about throughout the film) they all fight, but something happens, and she ever so slowly looses her connection to the force, she becomes weaker, and in doing so gets injured and beat while fighting the knights. Luke then uses the force and holds them off, telling her to run, and to follow the stream out of the sewer complex.

Injured and limping, she follows the flow of the shallow water. She hears the fighting continue behind her growing ever so distant. She eventually comes out into an open room which the thin stream of sewer water flows out of across the circular room, and out of the exit, which is a large circular man-hole door. As she limps towards it it closes and shuts her in. She collapses against the door, in tears from the struggles of the whole movie they have gone through. Behind her are two rows of curved steps which both go up against the edges of the circular room, and onto a higher surface. A dark figure then appears and looks down upon her. The water begins to overflow and rise slowly in the room as the door is shut. Rey notices his presence and looks to see him standing up there.

She slowly picks up her own weak and broken body. Kylo then slowly descends the stairs, looking into her, and sensing the weakness and fear. Ren dons a cloak similar to his robes in Episode VII, but it is more battle ready, like the knight of ren we see in the flashback. He has a robotic plate running across the scar upon his face. They say nothing, and she slowly moves through the sloshing water which has begun to fill the room. All that is heard is the rushing of the waves. She slowly takes the lightsaber out, almost knowing the outcome of the situation. She doesn't feel fear in kylo's mind anymore, but confidence instead. He's calm and collected. She ignites Luke's blue lightsaber, and he matches hers with a cross guard saber, but instead of a ragged blade, it's a pure stable crimson beam. They cross swords.

They begin fighting. Rey is obviously faltering in her attacks and form. Ren is calm and collected, yet fierce as he always has been. As they fight, Kylo gains the upper hand. She trips in the water, and tries to move away, but Kylo grabs her with the force and holds her below the water, she struggles. He then moves her with the force, up on the curving stairs, and she hits her head in doing so. She struggles to get up, and ignites the lightsaber in a half dazed state. They begin to fight up the curving stairs onto the upper level of the room.

Kylo is beginning to push her back and up the stairs, she barely manages to party his attacks. They then reach the upper part of the room. Rey makes a severe mistake, and loses the saber into the water below. Ren then grabs her arm, and pulling it up and away from her, butchers her arm off at the shoulder, she screams, and he kicks her off the terrace back into the water. He jumps into the water after her, then shows a familiar hatred in his face, but also a sympathetic look. They share a bond which allows both of them to look into each other's pasts through flashbacks throughout the film, and he has become a highly sympathetic character by now. He falters a moment, wondering what to do. Then in his moment of pause, Luke appears on the terrace above, battle worn and tore up, but strong. He opens the man hole like door that blocked the water with the force, and the water quickly drains out. Rey unconsciously quickly is taken in by the current and floats out with the rushing water, but not before grabbing the saber, almost instinctively. Ren and Luke share words, before Ren makes his escape, this is unknown though.

Also the final duel should have her completely freaking out force throwing tons of shit and making huge powerful strikes. But instead of trying to overpower her he pulls some aikido shit and just effortlessly redirects and avoids her attacks with superior self control and awareness.

After finding out about his past and seeing it first hand in flashbacks, it's sympathetic to see how dark he has become. He wanted to bring balance to the force and kill snoke, and complete what darth vader started, but to do that he had to go dark, and fight off the light, in which caused him to slowly lose his original intentions of doing all this for the greater good. He has killed his father, which he knew he needed to kill to get closer to snoke, and was beaten by rey. He then goes and completes training with snoke, but soon loses his way, and forgets what he really wanted to do as he goes farther to the dark under the supreme leaders teachings. We see of who he was in these flashbacks, and who he was destined to be. We see him making his dark decisions to get closer to snoke, and knowing he wanted to do it for the good in the galaxy. But then we now see him so far from what he intended. He is now what he swore he wanted to destroy.

'empire' has one of the strangest middle climaxes out of all the films... It's just Han and Leia flying into surreal areas while Luke explores the surreal terrain of Dagobah. Yet those sequences are so perfect in mirroring the characters' predicaments.
This continues the urban exploration theme of the first movie.
