I'm watching this tonight, what should I expect?

What are y'all niggas watching? Only theater goers apply, piraters gtfo.

I bought a ticket for Zootopia and went in to see this. It was ok.
>>

If you're over the age of 25 you'll grasp the film just fine.

I did not think it was pure shit but I found myself checking the time wondering when it was gonna be over. You also will get frustrated at the plot a bit, kinda retarded at some points. Pretty cool and entertaining at some points thought, I'm more of a casual watcher so that's my opinion
>>
this is coming from someone who doesn't give a fuck about superheros movies, doesnt read comics and give 0 fucks about marvel/dc fights

its a shitty movie, I almost fell sleep 3 times and it overall made no sense, the last segment looked like a videogame cutscene, some of the worst cgi i have ever seen and the bad guy is as generic as it gets
I give it a 5/10
>>
>>67871140
Kek this, thinking about seeing it tonight or tomorrow, wat do?

Watching The Witch again. Absolutely devilish. Also BvS was phenomenal you may have to see it twice though.

See Zootopia instead.
>>
Don't expect the movie to ever be as bright as that poster.
>>
>>67871055
I just saw it last night, it's certainly better than any generic Marvel shit, but it took on one too many plotlines for one movie.

I bet you complained when you realized Interstellar wasn't really filmed in space.

>>

a lot of movies make cgi fights so they dont look like a videogame cutscene, batman vs superman does not no matter how butthurt you get about it
>>
i enjoyed it. was lon though.. there were points in the second act I was thnking come on move along.. More Lois focus then necessary.
Wonder Women's Theme sounds like a tune from Battlestar Galactica.

Everyone does a good job though. fight at the end is great.

Lex.. well Eisenbeg tried. the problem is no cinematic lex has been any good. Smallville lex was as close as we got.

All in all good decent enough film. Definitely doesn't deserve the hate it received. Personally thinking about watching it again in the cinema.
>>
>>67871055

>>

C'mon, it took itself way too seriously and it failed at making any kind of point. It was just a bad movie. It's okay.

It's very good, though a bit overstuffed, maybe some pacing issues. Otherwise there was some brilliant stuff. Felt like an event comic or graphic novel come to life, I like Snyder's stylistic, evocative direction for this kinda stuff. Best Batman on screen ever, easily, and Bruce Wayne.

If you have no knowledge of the comics then a lot of it is going to go over your head because Snyder couldn't tell the actual story and fit in all of the religious symbolism/christ allegories.
Its a messy film with Eseinberg as possibly his worst character ever and the only saving grace being Batfleck being competent.
>inb4 fags saying "IT'S TOO DEEP FOR YOU!"
Its a bad film that poorly relates the character's motivations with some good parts mixed in.
>>
>>67871832
Bale as Batman was a joke, and he's a gifted actor. He was just an awkward dink. The voice, the costume, the ineffectuality. World's greatest martial artist throwing haymakers. He was a decent Bruce.

Affleck/Wayne walking through the grass was kino. His sick house on the water, waking up w babes as opposed to Bale's weepy chaste dweeb.

Jesse tried way to hard to try to act super-intelligent but kinda psychotic. Like attempting to be a joker/riddler type but failed. Also gotta put it down to bad writing.

>>67872356
Lex Luthor is set in the public's mind as a good businessman that has an irrational hatred of superman.
In the film what we see is a speglord thats supposed to be the head executive of a successful company.
How the fuck can he score business deals and be the head of a company when he can't even make a simple speech at a dinner party he himself called together without stumbling and mumbling like an /r9k/ reject that walked up from his parents basement?
In the latter part of the film it'd be understandable he'd be unstable and unhinged seeing as he just had the secrets of the universe unveiled for him and is directly threatening Superman but from the moment he shoves a goddamn jolly rancher into someone's mouth its established that he's 1 part autism mixed with 1 part Carey's Riddler and 1 part Ledger's Joker. The entire take on the character is retarded nonsense. His motivations are fine albeit they don't have much exposition because we get three whole scenes of Jesse sperging out and stammering out his worldview.
The character is written like shit and acted like shit.
If you want to make-believe that millenials already have a shitposting agenda against the movie thats your retarded problem.

Not the same anon. I understood perfectly how Lex had acquired his fortune, although I still found his character unbelievable. He was more as if a hack kid, as if his crazy version of Mark Zuckerberg from the Social Network, than a man experienced with manipulating people to get what he wanted. There was absolutely nothing threatening about him other than his incoherent blabbering.
It was absolutely not Lex Luthor, but rather their version of the Joker.
Lex was not experienced, or intimidating, neither a sophisticated mastermind calculated, and cool. This Lex was basically the Joker.

>Lex was not experienced, or intimidating, neither a sophisticated mastermind calculated, and cool. This Lex was basically the Joker.

Lex originally was a weapon seller with a head full of hair that had his plans constantly foiled by Superman, then a skinny scientist who hated Superboy/Superman for Superboy causing the loss of his hair when they were children, then a fat and bald industrialist who didn't knew shit about science but still hated Superman for stealing his city's attention, then a lean super-scientist that grew up with Clark and lost his hair trying to contact Krypton in the past who hated Superman for being kryptonian, then a buff super-scientist that also grew up with Clark that hated Superman thanks to ego, then a fat and bald military contractor who helped the army defeat Superman and was being played by Brainiac dooming the world.

What i'm saying here is that there has been tons of Lex. Even dumb Lex.
>>
>>67873837
>I wanted the comic book version of the character, you dumbass.
The character will evolve to that position. It's called evolution anon. Bats, supes and Lex will all end up in their known and loved forms, we are just watching them get there.

Superman is based on a comicbook, as I'm sure even your idiocy can comprehend. The movie is based on the comic characters, so I'd want those characters to actually be represented in film.

I became tired of everyone ignoring this. It's like everyone wanted their perfect version of Superman et al dropped into a film.

OK. Then what? When Superman finds a better solution to the next big problem, one that doesn't involve snapping necks or smashing through buildings, then his character has grown, he has learned from previous mistakes and adversity to become a true hero. This is what we want is it not?
>>
>>67874192
Batman for example, starts out a lot darker, suffering a lot more than what we know of him from the comics. But his encounter with Superman shows him how far he has fallen.

His comments when we view the coffin of his parents at the start of the movie ("there is no good") compared to his comments at the end of the movie looking at supes coffin ("man is good") is wonderful progression.

But people just scream 'not muh' and ignore what looks to be a great evolution towards the character they want anyway.

Alright, I'm being schooled on on Lex. I'll give you that.
I still didn't like the film entirely. I truly believed it had a strong adolescent undertone, in which Superman is a horny misguided teen who has no real principles, and is possibly psychotic choosing to kill Batman to save his mother.
Honestly I believe the film has tried its best to reduce dialogue and instead trying to fill it with touchy feely crap, and pointless monster fights to drag this shit out a long as possible to make a buck with predictable uninteresting themes that make no real attempt to do anything but make more money on the same old rehashed, but dragged the fuck out to take your money, from the fools you are.

Ok when Lex had Superman's mother hostage, and used that as leverage to force him to fight Bats, couldn't Supes have just listened to her heartbeat and found her and saved her?

He has to know where to look for.

>The original interpretations matter after 80 years of publication and adaptation to other media

Why isn't Superman just leaping buildings and not flying?

This is /co/ at its worst.

I don't believe that a movie is bad because the characters its using aren't like other incarnations of the characters. Or that it is going for a certain tone instead of another. Or that plots are bad because there are some leaps in logic taken for the sake of dramatization.

But Batman v Superman is still a fucking bad movie.

>Superman killed no one in the movie other than Doomsday and wasn't going to kill Batman.

He told Louis good men can stay good forever. He was planning to kill Batman.
By not using his xray to look for bombs he unwittingly allowed those people to die. He allowed thousands to be killed in MOS.

He makes no attempt to talk to anyone other than Louis. He arrogantly bullies Batman. He is a smug teenager whose intelligence is even less experienced.

Just correcting that because perhaps that is the kind of error you would use to derail a point

>He told Louis good men can stay good forever. He was planning to kill Batman.

He thought about it.

>By not using his xray to look for bombs he unwittingly allowed those people to die.

He failed there. He avoided the guy out of guilt and shame.

He allowed thousands to be killed in MOS.

Zod did.

>He makes no attempt to talk to anyone other than Louis. He arrogantly bullies Batman. He is a smug teenager whose intelligence is even less experienced.

Stop being gay, anon.

But Superman can supposedly hear everyone on Earth's heartbeat, and can even tell which is Bruce Wayne's. But he can't tell his own mother's?
