You can find most of what he's made on DVD, though, you just have to look. I mean, Mysteries of Lisbon is available at my local video store to rent, and there are several different boxsets, all out of print but still available since nobody bought them. At least that was the case last time I checked blueplanet.

I'm pretty sure the only prints of Batang is housed in the Austrian film museum thanks to Alexander Horwath and MAYBE the original producer's/production companies storage but can't recall exactly. Exactly one of his films is on netflix and available on DVD. The rest of the director's in the TYPE-V tier have more than that, so he's arguably the most difficult-to-get-hold-of director on that entire chart, in general. Hell I have 2 Kachyna films, 2 Has films and 1 Fabri film on my shelf right now. Bought them all from Amazon with a single click. They even showed up in my mailbox not one week later. You can buy Krolikiewicz's work directly from kino polska and plenty of Benning's from re:voir. Not sure about Pita.
