Isn't BvS exactly the definition of "kino" though?
Kino doesn't mean the highest quality, it means something that blends aspects of artistry with absolute schlock. Something like Gummo or The Holy Mountain. Not that I think BvS is quite on the level of Jodorowsky (no superhero movie is), but its constant combination of genuinely fantastical cinematography with total camp "guys screaming and punching each other" crap is closer to the ideal kino than something ultimately kind of safe and generic like any of the X-Men films.
That whole dream/vision/alternate reality sequence with Batman in the fucking trenchcoat fighting gargoyles and evil Superman was pure kino.
