What is the best episode of The Twilight Zone?
>>
>>67812082
The one with the twist ending that imparts a moral lesson
>>
I don't know if it's the best but Time Enough at Last really left a lasting impression on me
>>
Planet of the Apes
>>
>>67812125
I know this was a joke but actually I don't recall ever having seen a bad twilight zone episode. It's just a series that's so interesting to watch.

Walking Distance. I always preferred the more sentimental Twilight Zone episodes.
>>
>>67812082
The Brain Center at Whipple's, because it's still relevant 60 years later.
>>
>>67812167
spooky for damn sure.
>>
>>67812082
The one where 2 children and a veteran actor get decapitated due to a director's incompetence and hubris.
>>
Eye of the Beholder.
>>
>>67812131
>he picks the one that literally everyone has seen and even the people who never watched The Twilight Zone would pick
Wow, what a fan you must be.
>>
>>67812082
I miss this. Used to be on SciFi when they could still spell. Now it's been like a decade since I saw even the shitty alien cook book episode.
>>
>>67812082
I really liked that one where the Nazi relives a dream every day about being on a ship that he sunk and having to live through the experience every time.

Also that one where the dad and his son pip get to relive like a day in their past when Pip was 10, but in reality he had already died. That one gave me the feels because I remember watching it with my dad while he was still alive.

The one where Mars gets blown the fuck out.
>>
>>67812362
Yeah, Sy-Fy is just straight awful. I sometimes watch it for old episodes of Star Trek:TNG or sometimes a decent film like Jacob's Ladder, but mostly it's just forgettable drama series about hunting down aliens/monsters or Asylum movies
>>
I like that one that the Simpsons referenced

The one where Christianity was once again proven to be the right way to live your life.

It was clearly the pilots fault

>>
What are some bad eps? There's gotta be a couple of stinkers in there somewhere.
>>
The one where that space colony gets rescued after years but the colony leader can't let go of control. He compares the colonists to children who need his leadership and thinks they will all still live together when back on Earth.
>>
>>67812467
See, I can laugh at the asylum shit, but when I think back to how good they used to be with weekend morning anime and MST3k, classic Twilight Zone... I just feel old and sad.

I feel sorry for you, joyless little boy.
>>
>>67812540
The one in season 1 (I think) where some low life loser that sells shit for kids makes a deal with a devil in order to live.

Also most of the ones that had to do with space were on the lower end.

"There's something on the wing, some...."
Shatnerian Dramatic Pause.

>>

The last episode.

Walking Distance gave me the greatest feels and An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge is also one of the best, if that isn't considered cheating.

Fuck off star trek fag.
>>
>>67812540
There's a reason why season 4 is unavailable for streaming. The hour long episodes are boring.

Really good episode, there's an extra layer of mindfuck seeing the protagonist walk around the clocktower set from Back to the Future (25 years later).
>>
A Piano in the House

Fitzgerald did nothing wrong.
>>
>>67812082
It's been so long but it had to do with two families gathering for a dinner party, and like nuclear war was beginning and the hosting family got in a bomb shelter or some shit and had to listen to the other family beg and plead, then at the end the nukes didn't fall and they had to confront the family they damned. I'd really like to know the episode name if anyone knows.
>>
Off the top of my head:

Where they are on Mars and find a bunch of little Martians who worship them

Kick the Can

The one where a girl is stuck at a bus station

Where a girl keeps seeing a dead guy as she drives

Where a bus breaks down at a diner/cafe with 12 people, and there's 13 people there, so one of them is an alien

When the aliens come to serve the humans, and someone translates their language, only to discover they mean serve as in cook humans
>>

Ending of the original short story is even more creepier
>The original story ends when Elva Keene finds out the call is coming from the cemetery. The caller is never identified; instead, the story ends the following night, when the phone rings and she answers. The voice says: "Hello, Mrs. Keene. I'll be right over."

Pic related from the 80s Twilight Zone is good. The episodes were divided into shorter segments in this series. Gerd Oswald also directed The Star, which is really short, like ten minutes.

I meant streaming services. Season 4 used to be available on Netflix and Amazon back in...2011-12 I think. Then all of the sudden they stopped.
>>
>>67812362
New Years they play every episode. It's a family tradition of ours to watch essentially nothing else for like 3 days.
>>
I like the one with Willoughby, where the guy is scared to get off the train there everyday until he finally does.

>the one effort that all men try at some time in their lives - trying to go home again. And also like all men perhaps there'll be an occasion, maybe a summer night sometime, when he'll look up from what he's doing and listen to the distant music of a calliope, and hear the voices and the laughter of the people and the places of his past. And perhaps across his mind there'll flit a little errant wish, that a man might not have to become old, never outgrow the parks and the merry-go-rounds of his youth. And he'll smile then too because he'll know it is just an errant wish, some wisp of memory not too important really, some laughing ghosts that cross a man's mind, that are a part of the Twilight Zone.

Time Enough At Last.
A Small Talent for War is also amazing.
>>
>>67812604
Project harder, redboy. That implication was a quite valid one. 99% of you shits haven't probably seen more than 5 episodes. Buncha posers.

I would be very glad for being wrong, of course

this and stopover in a quiet town are my favorites

any of the ones where people go to a perfect town seem to have the best food for though.
>>
The one in the mexican town where the kill the alien and accidentally break the cure for cancer.

that and YOU GOT TO BELIEVE
>>
>>67812125
Literally just one of them is like that and it's one you can see the twist coming from a mile away
