Finally got around to starting The Sopranos - arguably the best show of all time - and so far they've made a point exactly once every episode to have someone ask for/drink a Coke, and it's completely ruining it for me.
It might not seem like a big deal, but this blatant product placement is making the show seem worse than it is and ruining the immersion.

Sopranos is my favorite show ever, but yeah, I gotta agree with you, pretty infuriating. Just have to try to suppress yourself, after all, you use product names in real life too.

I dunno, it's a regional thing but where I'm from we always just refer to any type of cola as 'coke'. Often as a default if some one wants soft drink we ask "do you want a coke or some thing?"
