>"its too smart. people wont understand the film. and no its not because its disjointed and written poorly and rushed and crammed with too many things"

Five words:David S. Goyer, Zack Snyder.
Goyer is a hack and Snyder is an even bigger hack who has only made one good movie.
I don't get why DC is still trying to chase the edgy teen market when the edgy teen market no longer goes to the cinema and prefers watching anime like Attack on Titan instead.
Why does DC still think it's the 90s?
>>67769999
they dont have a fucking idea and if you look at WB/DC track record they have more blunders than hits
>>67769999
Keep in mind that Hollywood is run by fucking retards. Nolan's Batman trilogy was a massive success so Warner Bros. thought "wow, people really love grimdark capeshit. Let's apply that style to all of our capeshit movies!" They never considered the possibility that Nolan's Batman trilogy was a massive success because it was a refreshing change of pace for capeshit movies.
>>67769341
lmao they're going to fucking ruin Suicide Squad with the reshoots. what do they even mean by "making it more fun"? do they even know? I doubt it.
>>67769999
Three main reason imo:
>Warner wants their universe to be different than MCU for the sake of being different.(remember how Green Lantern was suppose to be the iron man of DCU and it was light-hearted? after that MCU was established as the light-hearted one.)
>DC always saw their heroes as some serious divine beings when compared with marvel's(which were mostly very grounded, living in real cities and having pretty normal lives).
>Nolan's the dark knight trilogy was a sucess. They tought they could emulate the formula on superman even though there are fundamental differences between Superman and Batman.

That whole Green Lantern thing always seemed bizarre to me. The film was a trainwreck of bad special effects and poor writing and the only thing WB blamed the failure on was "the humor".
