Post your favorite horror movie deaths. The gorier the better.

The idea of being painfully dissolved inside a blob, just seems so much more visceral than other deaths that I've seen in a lot of movies.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlIo3_eddrU
it may see visceral to you but to other it's a fetish and someone at this every second could be having a good old handy over it
the Fetish should contained
>>67767312
That is true, but a lot of people who like vore like the "soft" kind, that doesn't end in death.
Hardcore melting is something only a tiny minority of people could like.
>>67767360
That cinema scene terrified me as a kid
>>67767400
The part where movie-goers started getting devoured, or when an usher looks at all the people getting melted by the blob?
>>67767451
Just the whole climax of the scene, it was handled really well, the screen getting filled with the colour pink is a memorable part for me. No idea why

Such an underrated movie. If it starred anyone but Kevin Dillon it would be Thing-tier

I love this movie.
>>67767141
I love that movie. Late 70's - 80's had some of the best reboots in the history of cinema, and they were all horror films.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmLP0QQPqFw
>>67767721
I consider The Blob, The Thing, and The Fly, to be the trifecta of "Good" horror remakes in the 80s.
The Blob is a bit more B-movie than the others, so I guess that's why it's more forgotten. But I think the monster is 10 times more animated than it's 50s version.
>>67767731
I love how Boddiker doesn't give a fuck.
Not really a horror movie but when the guy gets acid thrown at its face in Robocop.

That guy lived, though.
I mean, he probably died of a massive infection, but he's still alive at the end of that scene.
This one is pretty gross too but i can't help but feel sad for the poor guy

Damn wtf this triggered something bad in me. I know I've seen this movie so I don't know if I just repressed it but that death is disturbing me hardcore.

Good old Eyetalian cinema
>>67768555
I think it's the muffled screaming, the fact that he's only a few inches away from freedom, and the fact that you can see him get progressively digested by the Blob. It's not a quick and clean death.
>>67768342
holy shit, Cube is 20 years old?!?
Thanks for posting the best scene btw.
>>67768662
I completely agree. I also think there's somerthing about the blob being this pink mess. If this was remade today there'd be a temptation to make it dark and grungy and distinctly alien-ish. But like it is in this movie.. it looks like a chemical spill and a cancerous blob had a baby. It looks inherently noxious and completely believable that it'd eat through you like that.
>>67768884
If it was remade today, I don't think there'd be as much onscreen gore. And heaven forbid a child dying.
I could see it being darker, so you see less of what's going on inside of it.

>>67767141
The most disturbing thing, for me anyway, was that the blob killed EVERYONE. There was an unwritten rule in horror movies that the monster could only kill people who had it coming. Some of the worst deaths in the movie are characters I really liked up to that point.
Also the Blob melting that asshole kid in the sewers got to me as kid. I thought children were magically immune in horror movies.
unironically BRAVO CARPENTER
>>67769131
This one in particular, always struck me as cruel, even by Freddy's standards. He really draws this one out, just to make her experience being a cockroach.
He really lets her simmer in her fear and disgust.
anybody else unironically LOVE the movie Slither? I think nearly every death scene in that flick was perfect.
>>67769165
I think that's why the blob holds up so well for me. It really plays against your expectations, and isn't afraid to pull punches. And plus, the deaths can stay pretty creative(like a guy getting grabbed after trying to cope a feel with his infested girl friend).

Well, I was thinking about the 80s. I definitely think the 78 version was excellent, especially compared the the 90s and 50s version.

They were. But when they second person died, they watched too. And then the remaining two have sex and...well, that happens.

>A few movies in, they abandoned the whole "people can survive the traps" idea.
There's two in Saw III because Jigsaw's apprentice was an emo bitch who didn't want he victims to survive.
Saw V had one with the pendulum, created by a copycat killer who used Jigsaw's MO to get revenge on the man who killed his sister.
Saw VI had one at the very end which was Jigsaw's wife trying to kill Costas Mandylor, except even though this was supposed to be a straight up execution he managed to outsmart the contraption and escape anyway.
Saw VII had another one at the very end which was Mandylor killing Jigsaw's wife with the same contraption she tried to kill him with.
There's only a few instances of inescapable traps and each one has a valid reason for being inescapable.

Actually, it was an important plot point that Jigsaw's successor was making the traps inescapable/too sadistic. That being something Jigsaw himself would never do, since he wanted people to survive, in the hopes they became enlightened/bettered.

The Blob has my favorite horror movie deaths. The kid getting killed, the dude getting pulled headfirst through the sink drain, the guy getting killed when he tries to feel the passed out girl's tit.
I can't find my favorite scene on youtube though, where they're all barricaded in a library or town hall or something, and the Blob pulls some guy through a small hole and literally snaps him in half. I always thought that was pretty brutal.

You're trying to find and poke flaws in a movie that don't exist, simply because it's a late sequel in a horror movie series so it must have shitloads of flaws! Total Reddit mentality. This shit has been happened throughout the entire series. It doesn't contradict the Jigsaw character. Shit like that was happening in the first fucking movie but you didn't complain about it then. Why? Because it made perfect sense to his character. But now Saw V and VI are the later sequels of a long running series you so desperately want to try and poke holes in it just because it's a sequel, only to make yourself look like a retard.

I came here to laugh at you.
1) You have a tripcode and so your opinion can be summarily dismissed.
2) I'm not that guy, and I happen to agree with him that the 70s Body Snatcher is solid.
3) Good remakes of horror flicks exist, as /tv/ well knows, and as this thread ably demonstrates with its 80s Blob-love.
4) the 70's Body Snatchers is one such solid remake. Although the commie rhetoric of the 50s film version is blunted a bit in favor of sci-fi this go-around, we get weird period 70s costumes, and a general hopeless and malaise that fits well with the post-Vietnam Carter years. We also get a young Jeff Goldblum, Leonerd Nimoy, a taste of Veronica Cartwright being a nervous wreck which she would quickly reprise in Alien, and Donald Sutherland famously REEEEEing out at the coda.So we get actors who have long personal histories in scifi/horror, this time in an interesting side project. I haven't seen it in years but I really want to, now that I've written this.
>>67782965
Also not that guy, I didn't know what to make of that comment. 80s Blob is certainly /worthy/ of Carpenter, though (although Carpenter himself has been hit and miss over his career).
