So i've just watched the pilot of this show and...i guess it's not as bad i thought it would be. It's sort of ok but...Bridget Reagan is officially my new celeb fantasy.
I remember also that i'd tried to read the books and didn't get into it.
My expectations for the show are limited since it was apparently cancelled but i'm looking forward to seeing more of Bridget in the coming weeks.
What did you guys think of the show and Bridget?

Just overall meh. Not really due to either of those things you mentioned. The books are actually decent even if Richard is somewhat of a gary stu.
Crappy acting, crappy choreography, dumb filler episodes, weird deviations from the books.
But I won't lie if I ever meet the guy who was in charge of the bondage scenes all of his drinks for the night would be on me.
They surpass most of Xena's bondage scenes and that is honestly quite the feat.

Not that guy (check the names), but only talking about the bondage here: Ayn Rand had one of her characters, Dominique Francon, raped and she liked it, and Wheel of Time is full of spanking and unsubtle references to BDSM. Terry Goodkind is considered to be informed by both authors though he denies it and says he's completely original and not even fantasy genre.

There are a couple of other pretty solid ones.
The only Xena one I can think of off the top of my head that comes close to the Legend of the Seeker ones in general is where Xena is chained up like a pig and thrown into a rat-infested hole and she is dirty as hell. The only reason she gets free is because Gabrielle drops the chakram into the hole she's in.

Semi-guilty pleasure for me. On one hand, the writing is pretty shit, they spend too much time on much of the same shit or shit characters.
But I'm a sucker for adventure series with likable characters that isn't afraid to have a bit of fun with the material. And unlike something likeXena, I don't think the humor was constantly forced every other minute.
Bridget's a fine waifu, but Craig is cuter

The show is great in my opinion. Yes, the writing can be shitty sometimes, but I really enjoyed the episodes and the main plot.
To be honest Shamalamadindong, I prefer the series over the books and I read all of them.
But the books are still good, even though the last few ones have been a bit of a let down. I still enjoyed them, I was really eager to find out more about the story and see what happened next after season 2 ended.
My advice is to definitely finish the 2 seasons. After that, if you want more then try the books again, you might change your mind.

No cliffhangers, season 2 has a good ending just like season 1.
I just knew that there was more to it and I wanted to know what happened next. Since the show was canceled, I turned to the books.
Again, the show is great, nothing to be worried about. You seem quite interested and I believe you will enjoy it.
