Watchmen, MoS and BvS are top tier capekino.
People in the future will look back and say: "They were not ready yet. Snyder was truly a visionary."

>t. Charles
>>67751009
The thing is that most people liked BvS.
It's the critics that panned the fuck out of it.
Though I will agree that most people don't fully understand how great BvS really is.
>“Everyone thinks, ‘Oh, it’s a movie about King Arthur, it’s gotta be accessible.’ But no. This went further than I thought it would.” What has stayed with Snyder over the years and perhaps influenced him the most as a director is the film’s then-eyebrow-raising bloodletting. “I guess when I come to a part in my movies where there’s an opportunity for it to be gory, I say, ‘Okay, let’s film that.’ It’s not my aesthetic to use trickery to get around it. In Watchmen, I always felt the truth of being a superhero is that people frickin’ get killed. And that’s whatExcalibur is. It’s violent because that’s what it was like.”
>Snyder, in another piece with Time Magazine called ‘Origins’ even noted 300‘s callbacks to Boorman’s legendary film, pointing out the scene where Captain is stabbed by the Persian spears and grabs them, drawing them into him to keep killing as much as he can, which mirrors Excalibur in the final battle scene.
LITERALLY Patrician
>>67750525
Excalibur heavily influenced him on 300. He actually loves it for all the right reasons.

Holyshit dude

MoS is literally a film i would argue that did go over the heads of a lot of people, because Snyder is blunt with imagery but subtle with meaning
>>67749932
>Excalibur
Pretty good film, and Boorman is a great director.
Also RIP Alex Thomson you were a top-tier cinematographer who deserved far more respect than you ever received. Your work on Legend was masterful
>>67749932
>How did Lois know that she needed to get the Kryptonite spear she threw in the water?
>Uhh.... because, that's what happened in Excalibur
This movie becomes more and more fucking retarded by the day.
>>67749932
so just ripping off another story and doing it badly is patrician?
>>67753654
While I don't agree with those who say the movie was hard to follow, I did not like the non-linear storytelling, and he didn't even use flashbacks because of lazy writing, but rather fundamentally based the movie on the use of flashbacks. The end result was not bad editing, but rather the editing was competently done to serve a bad concept--the concept being: lets make a movie that is disjointed and appears badly edited.
Nah, fuck this guy. I do not enjoy his movies, and I have no desire to rewatch any of them.

I dont think the studio would allow a film to be half child clark
