Because I wouldn't want to see Nightcrawler 2, Prisoners 2, Requiem for a Dream 2. It is just not needed and risks soiling the original work. I'm already tense over one of my fave films, Trainspotting, having a sequel. The only comfort I have is that Welsh wrote Porno and it's not just the studios pimping out an old film. Why not just do original ideas, why does everything have to become a universe.
I don't know if it's going to be Villeneuve directing this one, but he's a hack for letting this shit happen. Risk ruining a piece of work like Sicario with a sequel.
