The main point about this movie was her psych/sociopathy and how dangerous these kind of people truly are if they're willing. If it was called Gone Boy and the roles were reversed ( a man framed a woman ) it would basically be the same movie so I don't really see it as satire towards the female empowerment shit half this thread is spouting. I can see why anyone would think so but if you see that as the focal point of the movie you're wrong. It's about psychopathy.
Rosamund Pike did a wonderful job portraying that and the script is so eerily well written I suspect the writer is a psychopath himself. The reason why she came back to him (him understanding that shes a psychopath and playing into that, and she in her turn admiring that) was so unbelievably well done that I consider Amy to be one of the best written movie characters of the last few years.

I read the book and I watched the film as well. In the book it is more a pulpy page turner with some not to subtle themes of female empowerment, but I think you're right in suggesting that wasn't the theme of the film. I think the film had more to do with how the media blows stories out of proportion and reaches conclusions with no clear amount of evidence, and those conclusions become the self-evident consensus of the masses.
If anyone was lampooned it was the media moguls and journalists not really feminism, the fact that Amy was an unpunished psychotic I thought was just a nice way to show off how the media will twist a narrative to the benefit of one party. I don't think the justice system had as much to do with it and I don't really think it was satire either.
