I like that it plays out somewhat of a play-of-manners. I watched Pride and Prejudice (1995) the other week and Alexander is not that far off actually. Had it been presented as a play, I don't think audiences would have minded the acting. But out of context -as a film- everyone just assumes they're high on weed acting as they do (which is what I like...)
