>1 billion $ budget for both parts
>500 million $ per movie
>needs around 1.2 billion $ to break even
Are they crazy? Do they think those movies are going to make TFA numbers?
They won't. Ultron already underperformed.
>>67657191
Got to respect them going all out with this though. $500 million will be the largest budget ever for a movie?
>63 characters
>>67657191
They get money from stuff besides the movie you know.
>>67657191
What the fuck is that billion dollars going to be spent on? Are the lead actors all demanding 100 million paychecks or something?
>500 million $ per movie
such a waste, it's crazy when you think about it.
you could give 1 million to 500 directors instead.
imagine the possibilities
400 is going to pay the actors..
>>67657917
marketing takes up a lot more of the budget than you'd imagine
it will be like the last two Harry Potter movies, one will be completely boring and the other will be a average movie
>>67657191
So I assume vision dies and Thanos gets the Infinity Gem out of his head.
>>67658119
Deathly Hallows part 1 was a beautiful movie tho.
>>67657371
You damn well know Hugh Jackman is just going to show.
>>67658062
It doesn't cost that much to get a few guys to shitpost on /tv/ all day.
I feel nothing when I see this guy.
>>67658606
You will when he fucks up shit with his gauntlet.
>>67658606
His design is pretty shit, and he doesn't seem very interesting.
Hopefully they hype him up more in the coming movies, although the selling point is absolutely going to be the heroes like Avengers 1.
>>67658606
>Final boss is a giant purple space NEET cosplaying as Goldar
BRAVO MARVEL
>>67658895
Considering Marvel's track record with their villains I wouldn't get too excited.
>>67658895
It's going to be a retarded misuse of power, just like Ultron.
>Ultron has hundreds of bodies and would be fine if he left one or two hidden
>Also would have been fine if he left his consciousness on a server somewhere instead of vulnerable bodies
>his grand was easy to duplicate to ensure destruction, but for some reason only did it in slavland instead of all around the world at once
Hopefully Marvel have learned their lesson and will actually read the scripts before letting the directors start shooting
>>67658895
This desu
>>67658606
They need to build up his unrequited love relationship with Death so he's not such a generic bad guy.
Infinity War will have Memers of the Galaxy in it.
Guaranteed $3 billion box office.
>>67657191
That 1B budget was never confirmed, only a rumor.
Then again, if any movie can beat Avatar's box office, it's gonna be this.
>>67658606
Gotta be the most bland bad guy in a whole, but these are comics about peope superpowers an silly costumes so I guess its nothing to be surprised about
Manchils are easy to please
>>67658895
I really doubt that.
>>67659961
>if any movie can beat Avatar's box office, it's gonna be this
Can't wait for two more movies where the heroes have to fight a big thing over a city that threatens life on Earth
>>67657191
god that movie is going to be a fucking headache
>>67660276
Nah, the Infinity Gauntlet arc is all over the galaxy.
>>67658606
>majority of your protagonists / antagonists are real people acting out shit except when they're doing stunts / magic shit etc.
>Thanos is a big purple CGI Pixar character
Kinda lame to be honest family
>>67660302
>implying the final showdown won't happen on Earth with half the time devoted to evacuating civilians
>>67657297
Yes
>>67657917
I wouldn't be surprised
>>67658062
Marketing budget =/= Production budget
>>67660151
What movie do you think has better chances? Episode IX?
>>67658606
It's hard to be menacing when in all of his appearances he's just sitting around giving orders to underlings. It's been like 6 movies already
Of course they'll break even, all the faggots on /tv/ will be going in hordes to see it, who else will make the great capeshit threads?
>>67660434
Avatar 2 senpai
>>67660151
No film will, you cock smoker.
>>67657191
Somehow Civil War is important here due to the Russos directing it and Infinity War. Fans already put their faith on them so if the movie turns out to be an Age of Ultron style of a quipfest, they are going to drop it forever.
Consider the normies here too. A lot of them thought the BvS "dark tone" was cool, and i have seen them criticizing Marvel in Twitter and Facebook for being too quippy, plus the rotten tomatoes incident.
Civil War is very important to keep up the public interest until Infinity.
I can't wait to see the heroes all get in line and force thanos downa seven mile spanking machine
>>67661021
>quips
The masses don't care about that.
The capeshit audience doesn't care about quality, you just have to market the movie hard enough and they will all see it.
what a waste of money
how can they spend that much on a 2 hour capeshit
imagine how many video games or infrastructure you could build with that
>they're writing their movies just like their comic events, which are equally as awful.
>>67661285
>video games
So you want them to stop wasting money with dumb shit so they can waste money with even dumber shit?
>>67661325
yes
star citizen for example got $100 million and is way more interesting than capeshit and many more hours of enjoyment
>>67658606
>sitting on his ass
>doing laundry
The Big Boss of Marvel
>>67657191
Avengers probably pulls in enough through merchandising and other stuff to make the risk worth it
wouldn't surprise me if they make more money from merch than from actual movie tickets
How much is just going to RDJ?
>>67660434
yes
>>67661325
What do you expect when /v/ has invaded
>>67657191
D-DELETE THIS!!!
>>67660493
>avatar 2
Only reason people went to see that hippie propaganda shit was because of the 3D gimmick.
He can't play that card anymore
Get mad cameronfag
>>67658606
That chin, lol
>>67657191
Half those characters won't even be in the infinity war.
>>67661021
>the rotten tomatoes incident
so does rotten tomatoes matter or not im confused
>>67661285
> infrastructure
ya because obama is the one funding all these movies they arent capitalist ventures at all
>>67658406
Implying that they would even waste money trying to promote the movie here
>>67658606
the part that pisses me off is the arm rests with thrusters
he cant lift his arm without it flying away every time
>>67661021
i can't belive people dislike age of ultron.
I mean c'mon is one of the best marvel flicks
>>67658062
It's probably not included.
>>67663211
Presumably the thrusters would react to the weight being applied.
>>67663391
We never get budget breakdowns, so we'll never know.
