Why can't they make a live action movie series that's inspired by Batman: The Animated Series or Batman: Beyond? The tone is spot on. It's fun but not in a tacky way.
Same goes for Superman.

Gotham.
>>67640840
I was more thinking about something that doesn't suck.
>>67640840
This.
Gotham is so fucking misunderstood, I love how campy it is.
>>67640672
The entire DCAU is better than any of the live action shit. WB should have just hired the animation team to oversee their DC movie universe.
Live action film requires a certain(albeit minimal) level of realism that cartoons don't require.
>>67641274
Do you think Bruce Timm should head the DCEU?
>>67641064
That's a perfect Nygma.
>>67641274
They're trying to recapture the profits of the 90s comics boom by emulating the tone of 90s comics in their current comics and movies. You would think they would have learned by watching Marvel/Disney, but they didn't. Say what you want about the quality of the MCU movies, at least they hired the right people and stuck with the characters and their tone.
Disney's biggest fault is that the quality of the movies is suffering because they won't take risks with the stories. They know a formula works and apply it to every new setting.

Yes. Absolutely. Him and Paul Dini.
>>67640840
Gotham is the best comic book show on television, people really need to give it a chance. It's a shame how many people write it off.
>>67641064
My nigga
>>67640672
>not realizing the BAS is inspired by Burton movies
Go watch Batman 89 and Batman Returns if you want that tone.
because 20 minute cartoons don't always translate well to the big screen
>>67640672
Man BAS is so fucking comfy. My mom doesn't like capeshit and she's like "Anon, are we gonna watch Batman today?"
Is there anything else as comfy and family friendly on Amazon Prime?
>>67641519
I like how they got Batman's voice perfect. All the movies besides Batman Begins (kind of) have been off.
>>67641640
Using the voices from the show for the Arkham games was a stroke of genius.
>>67641640
Yeah it's weird. Christian Bale sounds like he smokes 2 packs a day when he's wearing the suit. Haven't heard Ben Al-Aflecki yet.
>>67641368
Eh,not really. I like him but whoever wrote his character forgot that Nygma is supposed to be smart, not fucking retarded.
Literally the GOAT cartoon.
Especially the original run before the actual DCAU, which still is amazing.
There is no doubt in my mind, there ill be a Batman beyond movie or tv series
>>67641699
I was speaking appearance-wise, I haven't actually watched this.
Most of TAS sucks 2bh, it's only interesting when it has a unique concept, but a lot of it is just batman punching villains
>>67641699
>>67641783
I'm pretty sure neither of you have watched Gotham
>>67641888
>implying this is a bad thing
>>67641951
it is when it's boring
>>67641888
BtAS was GOAT.
The New adventures where OK.
StAS was great apparently (never aired for too long here)
Batman Beyond was beyond schway (GOAT).
JL was GOAT
JLU was GOAT
The only out right bad things I can think of is Static Shock and the android thing.
DCAU was pretty amazing over all.
>>67640672
you dont seem to understand that that would require skill, talent and coordination
>>67641699
Socially Awkward =//= Retarded
Nygma is by far the smartest character in the show right now.
>>67641951
I need to know where I can get that poster.
>>67640672
Because Conroy and Hammill are the only true Batman and Joker and I can't see any actors agreeing to be overdubbed by them.
