Thoughts on John Milius?
Is he a hidden genius or just an absolute madman?

There is only thin line that separates madman & genius. What do you think he is & has been, anon ?

I think he's both genius and madman
i'd like to shoot some clays with him

by the way he was defending the cast of the blue eyed black James Earl Jones as a true Atlantean in the role of Thulsa doom, Millius really is the first of us all.
40 years ahead.
a true visionary.
i salute him.
He's a genius bro that was served a raw deal in life that has kept his visions away from us.
Tragic, really.
He's both.
>I CAN FEEL THE POWER IN MY LOINS
The fact we don't have a healthy Milius, an alive Basil Poldedouris and a fifteen years younger Arnold to make a new Conan is the saddest thing in cinema for me.

Apocalypse Now and Conan 1 are great.
a little from column A, a little from column B
It is no accident that he made such a great Conan film. He has a lot in common with R. E. Howard.
He looks pretty good for his age

Genius that got his wings clipped too early. Apocalypse Now and Conan are G9OAT films. Even the original Red Dawn has it's charm.

Glad to see he can walk again
>we will never get a historical series as based as Rome ever again

interesting, definitely based in his own way, a little skewed however. Sad he got so fucked by Hollywood. Made some interesting films, some of them bad, Conan was GOAT though. Rome was fantastic. Has anyone here seen Extreme Prejudice with Nick Nolte? It's one of the manliest films I've ever seen.
