Collection thread? I just combined my DVDs and Blu Rays into a single collection. Not bad for a casual collector on a civic-service salary. Rate and hate if you must.
>ex machina dvd
>he still buys dvds

Looks like a Blu-ray to me.
>>67613557
Its a Blu Ray. I do sometimes buy DVDs of films that aren't available otherwise.
>>67613690
Same here. There are just so many great classics that are only on DVD, Pic Related.
>>67613510
what did he mean by this?
FYI: The metal case on its side in the first row is Akira. The two DVDs hidden by it are After Life (1998) and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

I was hoping others would post their collections too. Then we could discuss.

whats up with all the kino you have?
are you patrician op?
>>67614148
I like good movies? I can't really say if they are kino or I am a patrician as those aren't terms I use.

That's a nice collection. One of the better ones I've seen here.
All of them seem like they were bought after careful consideration. Also it's not bloated with Criterion films.
>Possession
mah nigga
Also are you based Stateside given the amount of Criterions you have
Also Also, you have them alphabetized, that's pretty sweet
>>67614674
What do you have against Criterion?
The lower portion of the shelf (not shown int he picture) are my TV DVDs and Blu Rays. Among them: Freaks and Geeks, Community, The Story of Film, Dollhouse, Firefly, Pushing Daisies, Bojack Horseman and Key and Peele.
fix'd
>>67615493
except for Drive and The Prestige, all is shit
>>67615249
>Kill Bill vol. 1 by itself
Anon why do you have half a movie displayed on your shelf?
>>67613510
Dude, you have "American Movie"!! That's my favorite documentary!!!
Couple recommendations, since you seem to like Criterion, check out "Robinson Curusoe on Mars".
Also, you need more Herzog.
And congrats on also having "Don't Look Now". You do have acceptable taste. I have most of what's here except a lot more splatter and giallo.
>>67613510
Oh god why. At least separate the Blu Rays with the DVDs. It's a jumbled mess.
>>67613510
Nice. The only movie I see that sucks is 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'.
>>67615660
When I saw Vol 2 in the theater I found it a bit slow. I also really liked the Lady Snowblood inspired and animated aspects of Vol 1, so I never picked up Vol 2. I should re-evaluate Vol 2.

Thanks. I'm kinda late to the Herzog party. I've only seen Rescue Dawn, Aguirre and Port of Call New Orleans. Aguirre is on my 'to buy' list.
