Canadian TV
IM GONNA TELL YA ABOUT JOHNNY THE GHOST
HI MY NAME IS WARREN
i feel it
>>67612267
I can't remember if this show was good.
>>67612359
It's a show.
>>67611864
oh fuck you just took me back 12 years
this show was fucking retarded and terrible, like all Canadian tv
>>67612517
the edge is real
frigg off randy
>>67611916
What the fuck, all memes aside I opened this thread just to make this exact post. I haven't watched this show in probably ten years and as soon as I saw this thread that line jumped into my head.
Anyway, pic related.
>>67611864
i remember hating this show but having to watch it every once in a while
>>67612267
this one was pretty good
liked the dynamic between the two
And here we have the origin of my braces fetish
YTV teletoon OG here
American cartoons r for fags
What really amazes me is how few episodes of these shows were produced. I remember watching this all the time but there were only ever 13 episodes made.
>>67613727
Finally. Fucking finally I know the sensation of being presented something you enjoyed as a kid that you completely and utterly forgot.
Wow what a blast from the goddamn past you gave me, anon
>>67612267

I had utterly forgot about this one as well, and I'm like, 90% certain this was my first cartoon waifu
>>67613954
this was probably the worst thing ever to air for children on north american TV
>>67613990
this was incredibly hit and miss. I found some episodes entertaining and humorous but a handful were just terrible from start to finish, and it soured the whole show
bad writing, IIRC
>>67613990
jesus christ what a throwback

Ono baby. First time I've sent this good job ddeessuu sseennppaaii.
My mom once told me to stop watching pic related because there was a wrestling scene where y'vone was tied up and weighed down by two metal cannon balls in his underpants.
All my mom saw was some dirty smelly frenchman dragging two giant balls in his underpants

>man gets decapitated in an accident

This fucking show... it used to be the only thing on late at night and I remember watching it solely as a reason to stay up. Absolutely horrible. It and pic related.
This show was pretty based.
HI, I'M ANDY
>>67614197
holy fuck this
i fucking loved this show
it's been way too long, and i can't defend it for shit but fuck y'all who say it sucked

>>67613954
this show was legitimately disgusting
>>67613990
absolute garbage
HE CAN DANCE
>>67614326
Oh man. Redwall was Canadian? That show was too good to be Canadian. If you are from us or UK you own it too yourself to see this and even if it only to see what 8 years Olds in Canada watched in the 90's.
>tfw when you have a diamonds nostalgia boner because you remember every single show in this thread

>>67614519
>then you watch them again and see how shit they were
>>67611864
>>67614370
Why, what the fuck?
is canada just a huge bootleg USA?
I know this is based off the comic strip, but all I remember from the show is watching Farley die about a thousand times as a child.
>>67614499
for every dozen shows that were an absolute sack of shit, there was a reboot or a redwall to round things out
>>67614519
I always thought people in general spent too much time watching TV and not enough time even just getting involved with a video game or something.
I haven't had any kind of TV for years as a result. Even if netflix hadn't been a thing I wouldn't have bought into cable/satellite. I can't justify spending the stupid amounts of money they want for something that's over a third advertising
It's unreal how people literally pay to be advertised to in their own home. I guess since it isn't new and exciting to me I just don't get it.
And in 30 years someone will be saying the same shit to me about smartphones or something
WHAT SHALL I DO TODAY
This show holds up shockingly well. I binge watched the first (and only) season recently and it's pretty high quality, but I'm also reading that it was aired in the States as well so that might explain it.
>>67614690
fuck you you annoying autistic superhero ginger bitch
>>67614706
thanks for narrowing it down for us
>>67614370
fuck yeah!
>>67614706
Woops, here's the pic.
>>67614619
I saw what was I think the first animated adaptation of the comic strip, a Christmas special called The Bestest Present. Wasn't aware there were more.
does anybody remember a show that came on YTV really late at night, like around 3:00am?
I think it was called WHY??TV and was sort of like squawkbox, but more random and bizarre. it was broken up into short vignettes that were really stupid, but hilarious.
the only vignette i remember was this toy child and the voiceover sang "here he comes on his bike, he's a boy you will like, adventure boy is here!"
>>67614690
This show taught me as a child that certain things on TV were bad.
She was so fucking annoying
>our principle was a fucking bitch
>>67614706
Though this one could just as easily fit the bil
Hey guys! don't forget about my lukewarm turd of a show!
>>67614761
lol this guy was doing the weather in on CTV Kitchener for a while. Recognized him right away. I wonder what happened to his acting career.
>>67614756
i rarely watched any TV at night because i liked my sleep as a kid. Most of the TV I watched late at night was while on a trip somewhere, dad would leave the TV on while he fell asleep and i couldn't sleep with it on
Wind up watching two full hour-long episodes of some murder mystery show or whatever before i got up to turn it off or the auto timer kicked in
LIFE BEGINS AFTER SCHOOL

>>67614370

Or maybe they would because it's outstanding scifi regardless

>>67614838
whoa, does this mean that you're a poopy puffer?
What was the reason for all this Canadian programming? I want to say it's because they have an arts budget over there, but I'm not sure if that's right.
>>67612267
damn used to watch this every morning before school

Damn, Wink cleans up nice. I wonder if him and the Punisher are still on speaking terms.
>>67615316

Canadian-Japanese co-production TV.
I rewatch it regularly and it still holds up.
>>67615356
Sam pls go
>>67613685
Angela Anaconda actually had some great things about it. The characters were all really well realized and the dialogue was always great. The problem was it focused too hard on Angela and her little 'fantasy sequences' which were always horribly self-serving and never funny and just made her seem like a little cunt.
>>67615380
So was it a guy or a girl?
>>67612359
I remember liking it (when I was 6).
That little girl that drags her dead poodle around everywhere is still funny to me.

So much nudity and sexual stuff in that show. Fantastic for adolescents, despite its shit animation. Still manages to turn me on.
>>67614092
Blatant rip-off of the genie from Aladdin but still a pretty enjoyable show!

i remembered this being good, so i rented it from the library so i could read it to my little cousin
it fucking sucks. it's meanspirited and there's no lesson in the end. not only that, the whole story is stupid. why didn't she just send it back? because she was scared of upsetting Mr. Eaton?
Fuck this book. It's only popular because of a farty hockey player that wrote it
>>67615507
Fuckin right bawwd
My parents probably still have a copy of this
I think I'm gonna get back into hockey this year
Anyone remember this one? They had a lot of really great songs they'd play at the end of each episode. Jim Cummings is a fucking legend and actually a great singer.

I met the guy that voices Jude. The guy is literally the character in irl. Skateboards everywhere, he's like in his mid 40s.

>>67615085

>>67615571
Oh, I absolutely agree. I think the story applies only to French Canadians, which is why it's strange that it became so iconic to Canada as a whole. If you grew up in Ontario as a Leafs fan, like I did, the whole thing seems pointless.
>>67613685
MY NAME IS ANGELA HEY HELLO

Mr. Bumpy, Squishington and Molly Coddle. They all came alive at night and got into various hijinks in a kid's room.
