He's very good, but I think you have to watch everything in context. Extracting parts of his shows would be missing the point.
You could see his refusal to do jokes about Islam as PC rubbish, but when you consider that his reason is because he nor the general population know enough about it means he would have to resort to LCD bullshit I think that's quite admirable. Refusing to lower your standards for a cheap laugh.

Not really, I'd say that his darkest bits were in '41st best comedian', since it was about a genuinely shitty time in his life. The first two seasons of the comedy vehicle were considerably lighter than the new ones though.
