>The first season is terrible, but after that it's great! So are you gonna watch it?
>>67593308
ironic seeing as it's the opposite for R&M.
S2 wasn't as good and S3 probably won't fare much better
>>67593308
>First season is terrible, but the second is great!
>Third is really where it kicks off!
>Even if you didn't like season three, season four will blow your mind!
>Now that you've watched four, you have to watch the last!
>Yeah, the show really wasn't that great, was it?
>>67593308
sure, that seems reasonable.
>>67593308
the real question is what shows with bad first seasons and good later seasons do you HAVE to watch the first season.
For instance the first couple seasons of TNG and pretty terrible but you don't miss much by skipping to the good seasons or just watching the few good early episodes like Measure of a Man.
Oh look, OP is a fag again

>The first couple seasons are great, but seasons 3-9 are terrible. But you still have to watch them for the great 10th season.
>>67593308
>you can stop watching after the first season, it dips in quality immediately after.
>>67593430
>>67594310
This is why I only watch kino.
>>67593308
No, the first season of Parks and Rec was enough for me.
>You just have to get through the first season
Yeah, that really sells me on something, the idea of just enduring it.
> The first two seasons aren't very good but after that it picks up!
Fucker what, am I supposed to watch 20 hours of utter shit just because you said so?
>>67594999
Just watch it at 1.5x the speed, and play it on in the background while you browse 4chan, like we all do when we want to watch shows we don't like.
Most animated shows have a bad 1st season or bad first few episodes.
>the first episode is bad but it gets good if you give it-
How about fucking no.
3 episode rule
Works well for anime, works better for normie shows
>>67594560
The first season was trying to be too much like the Office. Also, Mark leaves at the end of season 2 and nobody mentions him ever again. Nothing is lost by his departure.
>>67595173
>giving up after the pilot
you never even gave it a chance
>>67595264
The pilot's supposed to be the episode where all the show creators put all their energy and creativity into selling a show to people. If it's anything less than great, there's really no point in watching the rest.
You can forgive a lousy episode really late into a show, but the first fucking episode has no fucking excuse.
Venture Bros
first season pretty lame, but that just gets better every season. Totally different show after a bit
>>67594999
It was worth it for Buffy.
>>67593308
It's the case for Parks & Rec and Jojo, so yeah
If anything I'll just skip the 1st season if I've heard enough good about the rest
>>67595347
Just about to post this. S1 wasn't terrible but if it could be skipped that's what i'd tell people to do.
>>67593308
Both Seasons are absoluté kino
Only the plebe disliked it
