Just saw 10 cloverfield lane and I was looking for recommendations for similar films.
By that I mean films that take place in small limited locations with a lot of mystery like Exam, Cube, Moon, Identity, 1408
Exam, Cube, Moon, Identity, 1408

>>67559296
Not quite your specifications and the movie saw fit to give it two locations for some reason, but Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is dynamic and chilling. Amazing performances all around.
>>67558708
Panic room, it's not really mystery but it is intense and interesting to watch

John Carpenter's
maybe not as small as you're looking for, but a lot of similar types of ideas and themes, just not necessarily on the same levels.

Pontypool. It's on netflix. Whole movie takes place in a radio station as the zombie apocalypse begins. Best example
>>67565351
>Pontypool
legit
Shallow grave.
One of Danny Boyle's first films. Ewan McGregor is in too.
>>67565351
>netflix
>not just pirating
In a way 'The Man from Earth'
Just watched Cube on the recommendation of this thread. Christ, that was fucking awful. Terrible editing, terrible acting, terrible script, decent plot that pussied out on its promise by refusing to have the balls to elucidate on its mystery. Literally the only decent thing was the set design.
Avoid if you're considering it. 1408 is far superior.

You're a man, right op?
Can you handle it?
>>67558708
not caring if already posted because too lazy to read the whole thread:
the cold hour a.k.a the dark hour a.k.a la hora fria (naming depends on your location, as i think of it, it's pretty related to cloverfield in some awkward way)
coherence
the man from earth (not so mystery and feels very cheap)
>>67566314
Not the other anon but it was good when it came out. I agree it doesn't hold up that well but imagine it being 10 years ago, I think Saw 1 was barely out, and seeing a nice low-budget like this. Cube 2 a shit though.

>>67558708
Late to the thread but saving the recommendation and wholeheartedly recommending 10 Cloverfield Lane to everybody.I wasn't sure if it was an actual prequel or not or just a reference so I did wonder for a good chunk of the movie if the fat guy really was bullshitting everything and the bearded guy being in on all of it, that was pretty cool.
>>67558708
Not mystery, but limited locations. I recommend avoiding the trailer.
>>67570648
2 of the 3 were already mentioned but that's okay
>>67571234
i have this one around thanks
