Batman-v-Superman--Batman-Gun.jpg

Earlier in the movie we see Batman have trouble with cops which felt like he's still seen as a criminal and yet to get recognition by the police.

But then they reveal the bat signal which pretty much means he's already friends with Gordon.

I'm confused.

Here is your explanation
<
>>
Gordon's probably his only friend with the cops right now.
>>
>>67552335
>>67552358
>>67552364
Did you guys miss the part where he was in Metropolis at the time and not Gotham?
>>
>>67552335
The reason why he only talks to Gordon. Ever seen a Batman movie?
>>
And is it just me or nobody really called him Batman in the movie? All I can remember is people going "Bat of Gotham" left and right.
>>
>>67552335
Here's your explanation: they people who made this film are idiots and had no clue what they were doing when making this movie and thus it's a muddled mess but contrarians will defend it because they think disagreeing is smart (see: "the prequels were good!").
>>
>>67552335
his partner literally tells him not to shoot the good guys. The cop shooting was obviously a rookie beat cop.
>muh bat signal on the roof
go watch the dark knight where gordon is pulled on this and he bats it off. Obviously the police are not going to be publically friends with the batman

kids these days
>>
>>67552389
Sorry, anon, but that was Gotham.
>>
>>67552421

hes not really batman mos and bvs takes place on earth 3

in jl 1 the "heros" will go rogue and lex creates a portal to earth one where the real superman and batman are
>>
>>67552440
Except Gordon winds up destroying the bat signal after Batman "kills" people.
>>
>>67552525
whats the point youre making? youre just telling me the story of the film you idiot
>>
>>67552431
Hi Nolan
>>
>>67552505
Jesus, even Christopher "Muh realism" Nolan called him Batman.
>>
>>67552335
>But then they reveal the bat signal which pretty much means he's already friends with Gordon.

Haven't read any capeshit comics so I could be wrong, but I thought the Batman in BvS was the old and accomplished one? He has already beaten all his villains, Robin is dead, Batgirl is crippled. I take it the bat signal was left on the room from the old days when cops/Gordon was on his side. I was under the assumption that he fell from their grace because he started acting like a psychotic vigilante, basically no different from the criminals he used to hunt.
>>
>>67552625
"When they light your signal, don't go to it"
How does Clark know about the signal if it wasn't used for years? The newfag didn't even know who Bruce Wayne is.
>>
>>67552687
>How does Clark know about the signal if it wasn't used for years?
Hes 30 something years old and studied journalism.
>>
>>67552687
Clark is a journalist that has been obsessed with Batman, wouldn't take 10 minutes to figure out his connection to it.
>>
just turn off your mind bro
>>
actually in Snyder universe, Gordon is already dead.
>>
>>67552505
>in jl 1 the "heros" will go rogue and lex creates a portal to earth one where the real superman and batman are

that would be incredible and Snyder is so sensitive to criticism there might even be a 1% chance of it happening
>>
>>67553148
>I'll take "Un-observant kids" for $100, Alex
What is JK Simmons?
>>
>>67552467
>Gotham is literally a bay away from Metropolis

BRAVO SNYDER
>>
>He missed the scene where Gordon got executed as he was introduced.

it probably will not a happen.
as a dc fanboy i just want to refuse to believe that this is the batman/superman we have to live with
>>
Excuse me, but are all cops in the DC universe supposed to like Batman just because of who he is and what he does? Imagine a black guy comming and doing your job better than you, I suppose there'd be a part of them who are pissed.

>>67553308

He just seems like a really nice guy. I mean, look at that face.
>>
>>67553391
Batman isn't a black guy since he can go out at night without Robin
>>
>>67553333
>That's literally how it's supposed to be though
>>
Because Zack Snyder wanted to pick and choose stuff from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. In that, Batman returns after a ten year absence so the younger generation of cops who didn't work with him see him as a threat and try to arrest him. However, without that context it doesn't make any sense. This is weird becuase Snyder could have easily doen a Dark Knight Rises and have Batman come out of retirement at the start of the film after like 5-10 years of not Being Batman.
>>
>>67553333
So is in the comics
>>
>>67552335
It was a rookie cop. The other cop was just fine.

Hi there,

Welcome to /co/. Where are you from?

You seem to have questions about comicbooks.
>>
>>67553461
Nobody was trying to arrest Batman. The rookie cop just sucked.
>>
>>67553523
>>67553466
>>67553445
Why hasn't Superman intervened with Batman before now then?
>>
>>67552467
I wouldn't get on that anon's case too much. Gotham and Metropolis look exactly as shit as each other, so I can see why there'd be confusion.
>>
>>67553517
Are you saying he was acting like a hothead? Could that possibly be a further reference?
>>
>>67553571
Please end your life.
>>
>>67553571

because comics are for children
>>
>>67553627
I was talking about the film
>>
>>67553571
Batman is a shadow (the cop even mentions he 'actually' saw him) and Superman has only been around for 18 months
>>
>>67553637

because the films are based on a story for children
>>
>>67553637
it's a film based on comics for children
>>
>>67553571
>I'll take "Un-observant kids" for $200, Alex
What is Batman just came back from retirement and just **branded** to 2 criminals that he just caught?
>>
>>67553517
If I remember correctly, there is an identical scene in The Dark Knight Returns comic.

I'm a little mad, I won't lie.
>>
>>67553825
Isn't she meant to be able to an experienced fighter?
>>
>>67553571
Well in the movie at least Superman hasn't been around that long. Plus he pretty much goes around the world and I guess Batman sticks to Gotham most of the time.
>>
>>67553420
Why does Gordon look like Leon Kennedy with a moustache?
>>
>>67553571
just stop
>>
>>67553825
Mercy probably isnt dead, she IS a cyborg in a fair few things.

Jimmy ill agree on, but he is the only one i completely agree on.

KGBeast was one of my fave parts of the entrie fucking movie, my main gripe with the film was that he didnt have his outfit, didnt matter that he died like a chump cus he was more or less asking for it.

Anyone im missing?
>>
>>67554414
>he didnt have his outfit
Meh.

JLU episode where they turned to children...

I remember my brother spazly forgetting his name and called him "Bane with a gun arm". So, I'm fine with him not having the outfit for BvS so as not to confuse folks. Especially /tv/ ... big guy!
>>
>>67554414
If she lived, Superman would have noticed.
>>
>>67552335

The cop that he had trouble with said himself that he never met the Batman.
>>
>>67552335
the guy fires his shotgun out of panic
>>
>>67554633
yeah i figured it would have been something like a plan to use bane later down the line
>>
>>67555230
Yup.
The girls in the cage keep uttering: "He saved us ... The Devil".
The cop opens the cage, the front girl closes it and says "It's still here" then you here screaming and gunshots.
That cop was already on the verge of peeing his pants by then ...

Goes up to check, ... then he sees a large 'thing' hanging from the ceiling behind him. (His mind = WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT??? SHOOT IT! SHOOT IT! SHOOT IT!)
>>
>>67552421
Yes he is called bat most of it. Its like they are ashamed of name lol. Only daily planet nigger called nobody cares clark takrs on batman
>>
>>67552335
same thing happened in rises when batman cames police guy shot him and he give look to him
>>
>>67556674

You'd think the one line Affleck would insist on having is "I'm Batman".

Half the reason for taking the job.
