in the next 3 weeks WB is gonna announce they're delaying Justice League Part 1
they're going through heavy discussions to decide if they want to keep Snyder or not, some want to fire him and get David Ayer to direct but Ayer is busy as fuck and he's really excited to start working on that Max Landis movie. Some don't want to fire Snyder because getting rid of him would be admitting that MoS and BvS didn't work.

also WB is/was after Jeff Nichols HARD. They love him and he likes working for them since they gave him budget and final cut on Midnight Special but he doesn't want to do it cause he doesn't like what Snyder did with MoS and BvS. WB could still put him in a lock and get him to do JLA on a "one for me and one for them" deal like Nolan did Inception/TDKR

changing the tone they're going for now would confuse audiences at first but if they go into full production of JLA now it'll be a disaster. It should come out IN A YEAR. The VFX guys are already rendering the cg, the script isn't even done. the whole thing is just gonna be a set up for part 2 which they'll spend more time on.
firing Snyder and getting a new director on board, giving him a little prep time would be the smart thing to do but they're afraid audiences will lose interest if the movie doesn't come out next year.

it's very common with these movies though. especially with movies like let's say Ant Man and Thor 2 where the director didn't have much control. in GotG 1 and 2 Gunn storyboards every shot, real and vfx shots.
JLA is supposed to start shooting in a month, BvS was finished like couple months ago. The movie will shoot couple months so that leaves them like 9 months of post. It's gonna be a mess if they do it this way. Whole thing shot in front of green screens.

The hate towards Snyder is expected. Before the movie was released there were already a lot of hate and animosity towards him and DC. It all seems too familiar.
A long time ago, a man rose from his humble beginnings to challenge the leaders of his time. His teachings and his ways considered by some miraculous, many blasphemous as his ways are not of the traditional way that people are accustomed to in his time. His teachings and his ways are so controversial that he was hated in his hometown and was ultimately put to death by the people that hated him.
Now, in the present, another man rose to challenge the ways of Marvel and Disney and was again persecuted and hated in his own craft. The amount of hate he receives and the throngs that want to see him fail is astounding just for the very same reason many many years ago...

despite what people say the studio exes do care about critical reception. most of them have amazing taste in film even if it might not show on screen, they want to make good movies. WB is full on damage control mode now that they've made 2 poorly received movies in a row. They want to be like Marvel and make movies that are well received by pretty much everyone.
