this was actually painful to watch.

I actually felt bad for Affleck here, jesus. You know it's bad when Fallon can't even pretend to like your movie, instead he focuses on how epic the crowds were.

God damn...
>>
I can't really feel sorry for a millionaire but damn he looks broken, like he's just barely able to hide his crippling depression. The divorce really fucked him up
>>
>>67425649
I don't think his emotional state is that bad.
Actors are good at hiding their true self
>>
When Fallon, the biggest bullshitting shill can't even pretend to like your movie, you know you fucked up
>>
The movie had zero levity. Like goddamn make a movie where Superman and Batman team up into a huge bummer that leaves you sad and irritated as you leave the theater, fuck.
>>
Holy shit, the damage control is real. They'd all look a lot better if they just didn't address the criticism.

It wasn't handled tastefully by Snyder, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing for movies to reflect reality. I think it's kind of what movies are supposed to do, but a lot of filmmakers today are pussies, and I guess audiences have just gotten used to it
>>
>>67426844
I thought he got screwed in editing and that's why the movie was terrible.
>>
>>67426844

>Josh Trank

I've heard lots of rumors that he was an asshole/unprofessional on set, and maybe that's why the movie sucked. But I think Fox totally fucked him over and you can see the evidence all over the movie. He's talked about his "David Cronenberg" body-horror take on the movie, and a lot of the film seems to follow that vision, but it's constantly cutting away and holding back and then it just abruptly changes tone into a quippy self-referential "Marvel" knockoff in the last act.

I actually recommend watching Fantastic Four as a "fascinating trainwreck" kind of thing. Obviously there are lots of movies where the director fought the studio, but in this movie, you can literally see the director fighting the studio and losing from one scene to the next. There's just, like, a mutiny halfway through the production, and you can pinpoint the exact moment it happens in the movie.

>Citizen Kane received good reviews from several critics. Mosher of The New Yorker called the film's style "like fresh air" and raved "Something new has come to the movie world at last."[30]:68 Anthony Bower of The Nation called it "brilliant" and praised the cinematography and performances by Welles, Comingore and Cotten.[115] John O'Hara's Newsweek review called it the best picture he'd ever seen and said Welles was "the best actor in the history of acting."[7]:211 Welles called O'Hara's review "the greatest review that anybody ever had."[55]:100

Yeah. A lot of the time people go "such and such classic got bad reviews when it came out," when really all that happened was that the movie was somewhat polarizing at first and now we have a more unanimous opinion.

There are only a very few movies that critics overwhelmingly disliked and we've since come around on.

Technical awards. Sound, makeup, hair, music... Action movies get their awards here, if any

There's an applause sign and stage hands which direct the crowd to crap/cheer at certain times.

Stephen King also hated it.

How will bin Aflekki be received by his brothers when he returns to the caliphate?

May Allah (swt) have mercy, inshallah.
>>

Because it was nothing like his novel. I think he's since said he's gotten over that and grown to like it.

This cancerous nation is the only thing preventing China and Russia from literally enslaving you. Go get molested you Europoor faggot.
>>
>>67430388

Why doesn't Gadot have a fucking forehead? She should be attractive but it's like someone hastily molded a wonder woman without enough clay or proper reference material.....
>>
>>67426903
Because Miller is a cuck who made a liberal critic's wet dream. And we all know how liberal Hollywood is. I had no problem with Mad Max before people started acting like it was the film equivalent to Hamlet. Then i felt like I needed to remind these faggots thst their movie was a hamfisted piece of shit.

Lol holy fuck is that Charlie cox
>>

Fucking lost it at Charlie

I love how shitposters accurately predicted how bad the movie was gonna be.

The shitposted it would be 25% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it ended up being 30%. Pretty close desu.

I feel bad for Ben

-Going through a divorce
-BvS getting shit on by critics
-Has to go on a long press tour to promote the movie and having to answer questions as to why it's getting bad reviews when it's the director/screenwriters fault and not the actor's

Don't know how he does it
>>
>>67425988
nope

best horror movie ever made
>>
>>67438482
King made his own Shining movie and it was even shittier.
>>
>>67441644
King is a hack and the film has nothing to do with the trash book
>>

Who cares what that hack thinks though

Id rather be a russian vassal than a foreigner in my own country, forced to swallow american pop culture everywhere i go.

I'd rather Europeans being subject to genocide and disappearings by secret police too. Let's make it happen.

>literally everyone has good things to say about his Batman
>people asking or solo Batffleck movie
>chance he will direct it too, might even get to direct JL since Snyder will probably get sacked
I doubt he feels bad about the reviews. The only one who crapped his pants is Snyder.

No, he still has good hair.

I don't think Amy cares. She's above that. It's just a paycheck movie for her. Most people don't even know she's in it. The rest have their career damaged though.

there was that King-approved tv series that was pretty much exactly like Kubrick's, but on a tv scale. and with none of the wonder or horror or good visuals.

What is even more sad is the fact that ben's batman is one of the best.

And its pretty obvious that they are going with sucide squad shit with robin being the joket and making batman lose his shit thats why he kills people in this, just doesnt give a fuck anymore.
