This film is the Florida Man of superhero films.
It's one of the worst-paced films of the year. It's like they took scenes from House of Cards, Girls, Arrow and Daredevil and then combined it into one awful movie. There is no proper connection to each scene. It's so disjointed that I got Amazing Spiderman 2 PTSD flashbacks just from this piece of shit.
Also, I learned something new about Zack Snyder: He hates directing "normal scenes". You can tell that he has no passion in every scene involving the US senator. Every scene that doesn't involve Batman and Superman is a boring slog. I fell asleep everytime Laurence Fishburne and Holly Hunter appears in the film.
Oh, and the Justice League shit is just bad. It's basically Gal Gadot doing a Hila Klein impression. It's literally just her doing a reaction video of Semen, Gay Flash and Cybernigger. Seriously? Why bother set up The Justice League if you're doing this so lazily?

The sirens howling in the distance indicate that the cops are arriving to take in the Joker at this point. The view just shifts to the puddle to provide an out to the story. Having the Joker shoved into the back of a police car and hauled back to Arkham just isn't as dramatic.
I also was very skeptical of Batman killing, but read a very good explanation of it: he obviously is broken because of whatever happened in the past, particularly Robin.
He is not a young Batman anymore, they stated for months that's the direction they wanted to go and it's definitely not untypical. Yes, it is not the "baseline" depiction of Batman but not a completely new and unexpected take on the character.
That being said, I didn't see the movie yet and still think they probably fucked this up regardless.

I liked Batfleck and Knightmare scene though.
