It felt really exhausting. I really liked some things and really disliked others, it also felt too long and some scenes felt out of place and killed the pacing and tone.
1. Lex Luthor was horrible, every scene and every dialogue out of his mouth.
2. Doomsday could have been another movie.
3. Scenes like Wonder Woman on her computer watching Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman made me feel conflicting things, it both killed the tension and urgency completely and it also made me hype as fuck for Flash.

Suicide Squad is different than BvS though, it feels more like The Losers crossed with a bit of an Avengers AoU vibe. Its editing and tone is much, much better than BvS, but thats because it's not trying to be something it isnt, its just mediocre everything with the exception being Letos Joker, which, while well acted and portrayed, is really only memorable because of the iconic character. Batfleck, in both films, (albeit only about 10mins in a flashback chase and 'fight' scene in Suicide Squad) is in my opinion the best part of BvS and a very memorable part of Suicide Squad. I left the screening of Suicide Squad thinking more about how cool it was seeing Joker trick Batman than I did about most other scenes that take place in 'present day'. I felt the same about BvS, Batman s scenes were much more interesting than the other characters, and Lex gave me a goddamn headache. I personally think Suicide Squad will make more because, whilst not brilliant by any means, it IS fun/quippy/somewhat light-hearted. Think Expendables with less 80's cheese and more tumblr humor.

This film cannot decide what it wants to be. Instead of creating a worthwhile movie of Batman V Superman, it is instead a combined mess of Man of Steel 2, Batman is Tormented, and Justice League 0.5. The whole thing builds up to the ‘greatest gladiator duel’ as Lex puts it, only for it finally arrive and seem absolutely pointless and simply dull. The action between the two is so damn short, so poorly done, that it carries no weight, no substance or worth.
If you’ve seen the trailers, you know pretty much everything about this movie. You can watch and easily predict what will happen. It’s cliché as all hell.
The issues of Man of Steel are often considered the christ-like symbolism, and how it wasn’t subtle enough. The symbolism in this film is much worse, so ham-fisted, it feels like Zack Snyder is smacking you across the face. “GET IT, SUPERMAN IS A GOD”.
The score is in my opinion the worst score Zimmer and Junkie XL have made in years, with the themes being so over the top, loud, and simply lacking in dynamic or difference that it feels like your ears are just being pummelled with drums. At points it feels like Mad Max Fury Road’s soundtrack on steroids. Batman and Wonder Woman’s themes simply don’t fit. The only glimmer here is reusing some of the score from Man of Steel, because it fits quite well.

Characterisation. Affleck is a good Batman in terms of size, he feels menacing and threatening. But the decisions Goyer made with this Batman don’t fit the character at all. A few of them, very significant ones, go against what makes Batman, well, Batman. Superman and Wonder Woman are suitable for their characterisation, I actually like the Superman we have in this universe. Unfortunately, the big one, Batman, is just so disappointing.
The editing is probably the worst I have seen in a mainstream blockbuster over the past 5 years. You have so many scenes that can build excitement, tension, worry, etc. But they are all jumbled together that you end up feeling nothing. You will get midway through one subplot, get really passionate about it, then the film just jumps to a completely different area, often for little reason, or little significance at all. I couldn’t believe it at points.
it’s chucked into a full on mess of bad CGI, that can at times feel so obviously fake that it distracts from what should be a good experience.
Simply a terrible film.

Okay, just got out and all I can say was that was an INSANE experience. I disagree with the reviews and can honestly say that this was one of the most fascinating movies I have seen in my life. And before you get all butthurt and call me a "DCuck," I did not think this was a good movie. I think this was a terrible movie, but not in the way something like Fant4stic or Batman & Robin was terrible. This was just baffling. The reviews call it disjointed and jumbled (it was), but what they failed to communicate is that this movie truthfully felt like a fever dream. It was FASCINATING. I feel like someone gave me a synopsis, then I fell asleep and dreamt up this movie. It played more like a sequel to Eraserhead than it did Man of Steel. Superman delivered everything in monotone, characters randomly blew up without provocation. People woke up from dreams and only to wake up from other dreams. Sometimes they didn't even wake up and the movie just kept going. Jesse Eisenberg's character, a Steve jobs esque celebrity billionaire, was literally visibly insane and no one in the entire world questioned it. Fant4stic plays like a movie that was ruined by sloppy narration, this feels like it was intentionally designed to be a weird surrealist arthouse interpretation of a simple comic book film. It is the most interesting thing I've seen in a movie theater in maybe my entire life.
Honestly, there is no way DC will be able to move forward with a cinematic universe after this, but I am so fucking happy this got made. We will get another DC capeshit universe, but we will never, ever, EVER see anything else like this movie as long as we live. I cannot fucking wait to see Suicide Squad after this. Not because I think it will be good, but I NEED to see the next step in this maniacal dance of death.

The movie suffers from the same problems Spider-man 3 and Avengers 2 suffered from.
Primarily, it feels like it was designed by a committee that made a check list of what they need to cram into the movie and then they just paid some hacks to make a flimsy script around it so everything feels contrived and you get interesting moments and ideas simply slapped together.

I never saw Sucker Punch, I heard it was his half-assed hot topic version of Inception. But this movie makes Watchmen and Man of Steel look normal. I never thought I'd look back on MoS and think, "boy, what a conventional movie".
I dunno, I've been a fan of every Snyder movie so far (never seen the owl movie) and I liked this one. It's finally a gritty as hell Batman that fucks people up unlike Nolan's baby's first batman, which is refreshing. Pretty much. However i was more focused on Affleck interpretation. Unfortunately he had a lot of poor material to work with.
Just saw the movie a few hours ago, absolutely loved it.
However, from the moment it cut away from Bruce Wayne in Metropolis during the fight with Zod, it was a fucking mess.
I didnt think any single element in said mess was bad, in fact i quite loved the scene in the courtroom when the bomb luthor hid in the wheelchair exploded. But still i wish they had edited further so that the scenes flowed better together and certain scenes were in different times.
The scene where i guess the flash was screaming at bruce in the nightmare was stupid and i wish it took place towards the end of the movie, and the silly justice league set up email that wonder woman got should have been a mid credits scene,
Other than that it was fine, i get a lot of the criticisms, but i dont see how they are valid enough to the point where it makes it a bad movie. From the moment lois lane is pushed off the top of the lexcorp tower it becomes a 10/10 movie.

This is ultimately what frustrates me the most. Affleck, I feel, has the potential to be one of the better Batmans. However, if the script calls for the character to be untrue to his roots then this version of the character is already soured despite Affleck's efforts. Affleck could direct the next film and knock it out of the park, but it'll be hard to disassociate this Batman with his actions in this movie.

Outside of the unearned comic homages, he seemed absolutely shitty beyond looking nice. He hides in a fucking corner like some sort of comedic slapstick near the beginning trying to hold still not to be noticed, and then the segment ripped straight out of the Arkham video games where he jumps into a room full of people with guns then just tanks bullets while he kicks the shit out of them and they stand there waiting for him to run at him one or two at a time so Batman can hit the Counter button and do his cool takedown move.
And all the cool Batman is just injected into a messy movie. If you extracted all the Batman scenes he'll make a cool movie of his own but almost nothing about this was good for him when set into the context of the movie.
