Movies and the songs that are warped by them.
Rob Zombie does this a lot. The three biggest examples are All Tomorrow's Parties in the Lords of Salem, Midnight Rider and Freebird in Devil's Rejects.
The Devil's Rejects ending is GOAT

yeah
its a shame that most of his movies are shit
>>67397572
Which movies of his are shit? House of 1,000 Corpses is derivative as hell, but it's still an engrossing as hell watch.
>>67397415
speaking of rob zombie is anyone else looking forward to his new movie?
>>67397415
Man I loved that Midnight Rider sequence
>>67397636
halloween sequels, el superbeasto, and lords of salem
other than that devils rejects and 1000 corpses are pretty good horror flicks
>>67397738
I understand the complaints about the Halloween movies, but Lords of Salem? Really?
>>67397660
Nah, Lords of Salem didnt do it for me and that second halloween movie was just garbage
>>67397636
His halloween remakes are arguably some of worst horror reboots out there.
A great example of completely missing the point and not understanding what made it frightening or creepy in the first place.
I quite like house of 1000 corpses and Devils Rejects but those Halloween films pretty much killed him for me.
>>67397763
lords of salem is the type of movie that an edgy 14 yr old who is "rebelling" against his christian parents would make
its a movie with pretty visuals but devoid of any actual substance
>>67397478
It's not scary though. The mood really changes and the spooky goes out the window. I felt let down by that since every thing before that had me feeling pretty uneasy.
>>67397961
A horror movie doesn't need to be scary throughout the entire runtime.
>>67397998
all the good ones are
>>67398007
Rosemary's Baby is one hundred percent scary, throughout its entire run time? The Exorcist has the most terrifying credits that have ever been filmed?
>>67397821
i think the first halloween movie was okay. it already went into the wrong direction by going that redneck origin route but most of it was still alright, far from great but i wasnt too angry. the sequel though is a complete mess
>>67398108
Aye the second one is easily far worse but it was that redneck origin that killed the first one for me entirely.
Michael Myers is a lot less creepy when you know its just some dumb ass KISS fan under the mask, still mad because he got bullied at school.
Midnight cowboy
Ina gadda da vida, honey...
Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?
>>67397961
None of the movie was "spooky"

I like how this scene tells you so much about both the character (he likes popular things because if they're popular, then they must be good, and people like things that are good, right?), and about the band/song (that it's bland, derivative and basically hollow).
Patrick Bateman is basically a black hole of good taste. Nothing that he likes is actually good, he only likes the things that he likes because he's told that he ought to. It's strange how someone with no personality can be so pliant.

WOOSH
>HOW BOUT I GIVE YA SOME FRIED CHICKEN TO TAKE HOME TO YA MOMMA, SO I DON'T HAVE TO PUT MY BOOT ALL UP IN YO ASS!
I fucking love Ho1000C and Devil's Rejects
>>67400744
Oh, no. I get what you were doing, but it was actually was on topic with the thread, so...
>>67400786
WOOSH confirmed
Is rob zombie the best horror movie director currently working?
>>67397913
>devoid of any actual substance
wew lad. sounds like like something an edgy 14yo who just got into movies would say. tell me, what kind of substance was it lacking?
>>67397415
>Freebird
I never really cared for that song until watching TDR. Rob Zombie used it phenominally.
>>67403730
Right? It fit perfectly with what was going on screen, but man...it certainly changed how I look at that song.
>>67404701
Me too, anon....me too....
DO YOU FUCK CHICKENS
