It was supposed to look ridiculous. Her whole story was about her trying to justify Punisher because she killed Wesley, and Matt fucked her up when he said that murder wasn't ever justifiable. She was building him up in her head as some hero who was just looking for the truth rather than a psychopath content simply with revenge. That's why if you actually listened to what she said it was about "If you kill him you won't get answers".

It's pretty obvious that's not going to happen at this point. Not after they revealed her "dark secret" with the scene in the newspaper, and it was being involved in and accident that killed her brother rather than being a junky hooker.
