One of the all-time best. Pertwee's introduction is nice, and you see him build up all the things that would define his Doctor - opera cloak, fancy car, John Smith - only the aikido's missing. Plus it's got the hilarious wheelchair escape scene.
The Autons are probably DW's most underrated monster; there's something very "uncanny valley" about them. I remember being scared of mannequins as a kid long before I ever heard of Doctor Who, it's one of those universal things. Starts to lose this effect when you see the dodgy rubber tentacles in Part Four, of course, but that's oddly charming in a way.
And it's directed beautifully - the shot with what's-his-name, the oddly shiny guy, staring at the Brig through the glass is just plain weird.

i'm not quite sure there ever were plans to adapt the classic stories. Most series-bibles have an extra section of stories to show potential writers what kind of stories can be done in this format and what exactly the producers expect.
Although acted out versions of those original scripts where the Master takes over Gallifrey and the Doctor goes to search for his father would be pretty cool. Who knows, maybe they could even adapt those old Last of the Time Lords movie scripts that were floating around in the early 90s

Haven't listened to much as I've been busy though. Genocide Machine was an interesting concept but stretched on a little bit. I thought Red Dawn was good, but the only Ice Warrior stories I've watched are seeds of death and Cold War. Halfway through Lanyon, liking the new companion and it's nice to have the Brig back. Been listening to the main range in order on and off for around 3 years or so and I'm only just now on 111. It's a good long venture with a nice feeling of progress and tons of variety in the stories. I'm in no hurry to catch up but I've also sped up my BF listening by putting them on while working out and it's fantastic.
None of the last few I've listened to have been too great imo, but I'm excited to finally get back around to some 6 and Charley (I hadn't listened to much Big Finish between last November and late February '16 so it feels like it's been forever)
Also the Big Finish app actually helps me get more listening done, its still kinda shit but it gets the job done

It was surprisingly really not bad. Maybe it was just the really low expectations but it was the best movie it could've been as a sequel to Man of Steel with the title Batman vs Superman. It was bloated and overdramatic with some stupid character actions and dialogue shoved in there but nothing at all super glaring and cringy like MoS imo. It was really loud and dumb and over the top but the action was great and there was tons of it and it was actually fun imo.
I hated Man of Steel but Batman vs Superman really surprised me and I don't see how a comic fan could really dislike it (at least going in knowing what type of movie it is and what it sets out to do, I mean its not supposed to make you laugh every few minutes or win any Oscars)
