For the record this wasn't me, op, I'm definitely interested in classic horror. Saving these. Out of curiosity what do you think of those in terms of modern horror?
>>
OP, that is a tinyass fucking collection. What do you have digital versions of?

Go kill yourself for your horrid collection
>>
>>67378126
Typical non-fan.
So many horror movies that never made it to blu ray anon.
A few that never even made it off vhs.
>>
>>67377977
Alas this is just a broke kids collection after less than a year of being "into" horror. That's why I'm coming here for recs. I've seen a lot of other horror movies obviously.
>>
>>67377891
Do you own even half of those movies?

>>67377456
Small collection, but good so far. Keep it up.

It's time to stop. You're only making it worse for yourself.
>>
>>67377981
I'm really glad that you weren't bothered at all by those pictures or your lack of knowledge of the movies in them and you are purely taking this as an opportunity to mock someone
>>
>>67378210
Get digital versions. I have about 100 horror dvds but I wouldn't bother buying them anymore.
>>
>>67377456
It looks like stuff I'd buy and I have no real knowledge of horror at all
>>
>>67378162
I agree, and I have a huge horror dvd/bluray collection but seriously buying Bone Tomahawk on dvd? makes no sense
>>
>>67378343
I had an excellent ~600-700 horror DVD collection until like 2010 or so when I decided to sell them off.
Wasn't watching most of them regularly anyway.
>>
>>67377456
dumbass/10
>>
>>67378162
I'd be amazed if any of the movies in OP's collection weren't on bluray.
>>
Judging by the rest of OP's collection, I'd wager that the Poltergeist dvd is the remake...
>>
>>67378446
What do you mean?
>>67378494
Nope
>>
>>67378477
The hoarder in me can't imagine doing such a thing. I have around 300 (about half in VHS) and I just keep them at my parent's house.
>>
>>67378586
I mean buying modern horror on dvd is just stupid, its like going out of your way to go backwards in quality. When it comes to older horror films on DVD it makes more sense because that home video format did not exist when those films were made
>>
>>67378654
Yeah... I would buy up horror cheap at flea markets and store sales etc all throughout the 2000s.
When DVD was dying horror was still holding its value so I took the out.
Since I'd usually watch a film once and just shelve it and only rewatch a few select movies of the bunch, I feel like I made the right choice.
>>
>>67378678
VHS is the only real way to watch some old horror movies imo
>>
>>67378723
I will admit I rarely rewatch some movies myself. That's the weird thing about collecting/hoarding.
>>
>>67378733
I hear you but I prefer to see films in their original aspect ratio
>>
>>67378772
yeah its funny, there are films in my collection I have watched several times, some I have watched only once, and also stacks of unopened blurays kek. I dont feel good unless I am expecting shit in the mail
>>
>>67378678
A few reasons for the DVDs:
The ones I already had were DVDs and I want them to all be the same.
As I said, pretty broke.
I also think there's legitimately something to be said about horror more than maybe any other genre not necessarily needing to be super hi def and clean looking. Same goes for fantasy for me.
>>
>>67378775
That's true, that was the biggest problem with home videos from that time.
>>
>>67378833
>not necessarily needing to be super hi def and clean looking.
thats a great point, the bottom line is having the films uncut and in correct aspect ratio. Keep doing your thing man

Solid even though it's 85% contemporary horror
>>
>>67377456
Honestly I was surprised how many good movies here. A few stinkers but I can tell you have good taste
>>
>>67378942
Just curious, which ones do you consider stinkers? Theres definitely a few guilty pleasures like the two Eli Roth movies.
