I'm only on season 2 and I'm having a little hard of a time with it.
Without spoiling it for me, does it get better? I felt the first season was great because of the sense of urgency, but there's no ticking clock anymore and that took something away from the show.

Kane worked because it wasn't a 180, he was always willing to save his people at any cost, even if it meant sacrificing some to save the rest, or undermining political enemies on the Ark.
Jaha wasn't really a 180 either. As Chancellor he was always more pragmatic than noble, and it's easy to see how grief (and maybe brain damage from hypoxia) pushed him off the deep end.

Clarke is way hotter IRL than on the show, even if only for her voice. Octavia and Lexa look way better when they're not dressed up like grounders. Raven looks better on the show than in promo events because she's not done up as much.I'll give you Maya though

Octavia looks the same on and off the show. She's about as close to a man face as possible without full on man face. She's a 6.5 at the highest.
Clarke is a homely blonde on the show and a homely blonde in better make up off the show. A legit 6.
Lexa is actually attractive but pretty plain on the whole. Same with Raven, qt but nothing special.
I'm not pulling the mid western white kid thing out of my ass btw. When I was in the military most of us on the west coast noticed that people from homogeneous white areas had incredibly low standards.
