Both shows seem to revolve around alcohol. Both shows' intros have calming music playing to a tour of the setting to which the title of the show refers to. Both shows have three main male characters who happen to write/produce the show. I know IASIP hasn't been cancelled yet, but both shows have exactly 7 seasons.
Character comparison:
Dennis/Julian: Seems to be the smartest of the three.
Mac/Ricky: A bit more centralized character. Facial hair awesomeness.
Charlie/Bubbles: "Wild card". Both have green alter-egos(Green Man/The Green Bastard). IMO the most likable character.
Frank/Lahey: A severely alcoholic, 65-year-old, balding man
Dee/Lucy: "Useless chick." In a relationship with Mac/Ricky(Dee and Mac aren't actually in a relationship on the show but they are married in real life). Both have a child.

My traits have absolutely zero to do with the shows I watch, obviously I won't watch shit like reality TV or Big Bang Theory or fucking Suits because I don't enjoy wasting my time that much, I just won't enjoy them at all.
A good show is a show with integrity, the doesn't care about catering to its audience, that has real direction, vivid imagery, powerful writing, seamless editing and a well thought-of plot. A good show should be memorable, it should really hit me and show me a different interpretation of reality.
Now if all of that is in a show, and I really feel a show and feel like I've gained something I never had before after watching it and find out that all the dumb as a rock fucking fedora tipping redditors thought the same then obviously something is wrong with me, and i should stop liking that show and become a better person because I do not want to be the type of person that aligns with that type of shows.
To be clear, that doesn't happen to me these days because I've already grown up and distanced myself from most art that's vulnerable to that short of thing, and it's not like I pretend to not like those old shows or like the shows that I do genuinely love now, I've just changed myself to not ever be that sort of person again.
