To be fair, it's as expected. As soon as the conflict gets opened out, it becomes too broad for a director like Zack Snyder. It just seems to be getting lambasted for something that basically goes with the territory of movies that seek to act as a jumping-off point for sequels.

An in aggregate its not good. It's really not that complicated. Numbers don't lie. Only thing is that the percentage isn't a proportion of how good it is necessarily, just of how many good reviews it had.
Last I saw a "2 stars" is considered rotten. Has to be above 60% or something. So a lot of reviewers are saying its middling.

I agree, but that's obviously not what WB had in mind. I think they basically set Snyder up to fail by giving him a movie that was always going to struggle, hence the embargo. It's probable that the execs will want to move on regardless, and just swallow making back the budget for this movie, hoping that they can now branch out.
But even then, I haven't seen it so I can't really comment on the quality of the movie.
