See this is the problem with most trailers
They literally fill them with all the action scenes and add some hyper loud music to it.
Not only do they spoil too much, but the excitement you get from them are the same kind of excitement you get from fireworks or explosions.

I preferred the TFA teaser to that trailer - the moment when the falcon does the inverted roll while the theme kicks off still gives me goosebumps - it totally taps into the excitement I had as a kid seeing the original in the theater (im old)
Also, that SS trailer is one of the best I can think of in recent memory. Its edited so well. The visuals are synced to BR very nicely. I had zero interest in seeing SS before this trailer, and now Im hoping it might at least be fun like GotG but darker. Whoever put that trailer together deserves a share of the gross.
An effective trailer is one where when I see it, I know I'm going to buy a ticket to see it on the big screen. A couple I can recall that did that are Aliens, Lotr1 & Fight Club.
