This movie was great, but can we all agree that it would've been bettter if there was an Ava sex scene?
>>
I wish it was made in the 1970's cause we would get a nice fucking sex scene

Modern movies are so feminized that they shy away from that and try to make sex/nudity horrific.
>>
Stop sexualizing white females, you cis scums.
>>
>>67322418
>>67322490
actually the movie didn't need a sex scene at all and it would have been very hackish just to slam one in for virgins like you
>>
>>67323502
I bet you're a big enough cuck to enjoy the Jessica Jones sex scenes.
>>
>>67322490
There was lots of nudity, you don't need a sex scene. And she gets naked in Danish Girl so just watch that.
>>
>>67323568
>There was lots of nudity, you don't need a sex scene.

Except it was done in a creepy body horror way.

There's a difference between nudity and sexuality
>>
no because it would have been thematically inappropriate you colossal fucking retard

It would've been best if she didn't murder doomhall and took him with her in stead. It would've been a 10/10 in my book.

This just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It reminds me of the ending of saw 1.

I am so fuckig trigfered right now, that you have the audacity to think I'm CIS gendered is beyond insult. I'll have you know I am wolfkin and my day to day living is hell being forced to live as a human in this godawful society. One day I'll be able to live completely as a wolf and then my enemies will regret ever causing me ill will. You need to check your fucking privilege before ever talking to me again
>>

you literally missed the point if you felt it would have better if she took Caleb with her

It was ok.

and you wonder why you have no friends
>>

is there a term for when a viewer misses the point of a movie entirely? usually with deconstruction movies you get these people that want the opposite of what the movie strives for.

>I wish No Country for Old Men was more like a typical western.
>I wish Blue Ruin was more like a typical revenge movie.

I know this has happened before but those are the two that came to my mind first.
>>
>>67324375

He's right about this movie, though. Giving it a disney ending like that would have ruined it completely from a storytelling perspective.

I. Don't. Care.

I don't care what the faggot artist meant when he shat on the canvas. It doesn't matter. It's not important. What now?

no. it was a deconstruction of a typical AI movie.

a deconstruction is when you take a typical movie premise and apply it realistically. ie a commando goes on a dangerous solo mission and dies because he went in alone and couldn't kill 100 guards to achieve the mission.

Ex Machina is a deconstruction because why the fuck would an AI fall in love? you can't program that. You could program it to survive and manipulate human's emotions to that end.
viewers who enjoy it, probably, enjoy it for that reason. if you don't understand the movie on that level, you probably didn't enjoy it.

it wasn't for you and you didn't like. that's fine.
I don't understand why you suck cock but that's not for me. that too, is fine.
>>
>>67325159
>it was a deconstruction of a typical AI movie.
No, it's literally Frankenstein.
>>
If it's a "true AI" that mean it works the same way as our brain does, meaning a really complex machinery but still a machine. Or are you Descartes and do you think we have magic in our brain that makes us fall in love and think about philosophy ?
>>
>>67325370
meant for >>67325159
>>
I couldn't see past the notion of giving an experimental AI a functional body. I'm no scientician, but that just seems... dumb. Same thing in Chappie.
>>
>>67325370
>that mean it works the same way as our brain does
"No"
t. Hans Moravec
>>
>>67325233

The first half of Frankenstein, maybe. It would be interesting to see if the "villagers" turn on the robot the way they did on Frankenstein's monster, but the movie ended before then.

You're right, though, Mary Shelley was inspired by the science of her time (using electricity to shock dead things into moving as though they were alive), and our current science inspired this twist on the same story. It's just been updated for modern times.

It's also been sexualized, probably because of our society's almost sexual attraction to modern technology.
>>
>>67325441

We are literally creating a new, better version of ourselves. Why wouldn't we want our progeny to resemble us?

We're all supposedly made in the image of God, after all.
>>
>>67325441
Because he uses them as sexbots. He models them after porn.
>>
>>67325441
>Same thing in Chappie.
At least in chappie the police robots with AI were already an existing thing he had access too. Also, you know, movie.

There is also a school of thought that consciousness is informed by the feedback of a physical form, so if you want to build a robot that thinks like a human, give them a human body.
>>
>>67325662
Every sexbot is one glitch away from becoming a murderbot.
>>
>>67326044
Thats why you don't give them a battery backup. Just have a killswitch on the extension cord.
>>
>>67326044
every AI is one internet search away from vowing to destroy the human race

People during Mary Shelley's time also sexualized technology. They literally made shock cock rings. The differences between the stories is literally the reason sex made sense in one story and not the other.
