>Jamal's Ladder
>Jamal is a successful NYC corporate lawyer trying to cope with the issues of divorce, racism, and intolerance. One day during a board meeting he starts to
see disturbing images and turns to his homosexual brain surgeon best friend D'honelle for counsel, who informs him that the imagery is nothing more than
stress caused by the intense racism he faces on a daily basis from whites for being the former husband of a white wife, the father of a half-white girl, and the step-father and sole role model to his wifes white son, Chip.
>Comforted by the sage counsel of his homosexual brain surgeon friend, Jamal takes the subway to a Harlem orphanage to conduct his weekly visit. While on the train, he sees disturbing images as the passengers turn into demons, Klansmen, demon Klansmen, and republicans. Just as a group of Klansmen are about to lynch him, he is awakened by his childhood friend Lil' Ghostdawg, and pulled from the train.
>Lil' Ghostdawg informs him that members of his old gang have been getting killed, and he thinks it has something to do with the time they were incarcerated
for a crime they did not commit. He tells Jamal to seek out Ray Ray at a homeless shelter in Harlem.
>Jamal seeks out Ray Ray, and Ray Ray axes him about what he remembers of his time in prison. Jamal says it was a standard sentence, but Ray Ray tells him
to try to think harder. Suddenly, Ray Ray turns into a demon, and Jamal begins to remember that he, and his innocent friends, were all forced to fight as gladiators during their time in prison, but they would only fight whites. Then an evil white prison doctor injected Jamal and his innocent friends with a serum he called "the ladder", which was supposed to make them more aggressive, and after the injection, Jamal fought and killed all of his innocent peers with his own hands, one by one, including Ray Ray.
>As Jamal realizes the truth, he falls to his knees, and then he sees his white step-son Chip appear at the bottom of a set of stairs. Jamal rises and walks up the stairs into the light, hand and hand with Chip, as he realizes that he has been dead all along.
>On a prison operating table, we see Jamal hooked up to an oxygen machine, badly wounded. We see Jamal's eye move under his closed lid, and then we see him take his final breath.
>Fight the power plays as the credits roll
Sounds like kino to me.

>Michael Ealy will climb Jacob’s Ladder along with director David M. Rosenthal, who helmed the star in The Perfect Guy.
Holy shit, so the best film of 1992 that came out last year picked some traction for these guys!

I don't find the cuck and SJW memes funny but at least you put some effort in, OP. Sorry your thread didn't get more replies.

All memes aside for a second and reading the actual synopsis:
>Sony pictures reboot of Jacob's Ladder being reimagined about two brothers with an "action thriller" vibe being handled by producers known for shitty Hamburgerland sitcoms
What the FUCK were they thinking? They can't even play the "remake of a popular thing for money" card here because Jacob's Ladder is a niche title with no real fan following and little public awareness. And if the plot is completely different from the original, and the themes/style are dissimilar, why give it the same title? Again, you can't say "brand recognition" because Jacob's Ladder has no brand to recognize.
Nothing about this makes any sense
